Decision
For Lore-generated SEO/GEO articles (Hard Calls and any other brand), each new article must source a new, real-world case study via fresh research rather than rotating between a fixed pool. The case study pool grows over time: each new find that meets the quality bar gets added to the pool and can inform future articles. The Airbnb layoff letter (Michael’s career reference) must not appear in every article; it should be used only where it is genuinely the best fit.
Context
Ben flagged that almost every Lore-generated Hard Calls article was referencing the Airbnb layoff or layoff letter. Michael confirmed this is wrong and identified the cause as the agent rotating a small fixed set of cases. The right fix is per-article research, not a larger fixed rotation.
Separately, Michael directed that existing articles with Airbnb references (except the best one) should be individually researched to find a stronger case, rewritten where needed, and re-queued for Ben’s review.
Options Considered
- Expand the fixed rotation pool from ~6 to a larger set. Rejected by Michael: “Rotating between 6 is dumb and will result in redundant, uninteresting content.”
- Fresh research per article with an additive pool. Chosen.
Consequences
- Agent instruction update required: per-article research is now standard; pool is additive, not fixed.
- Existing Airbnb-heavy articles (all except the single best) to be reworked with new case research and placed back in Ben’s review queue.
- New qualifying case finds should be added to the pool so the agent can consider them in future articles.
