Context

Reviewed unlimitedcontent.com (the white-label behind Lore) end to end. Their offer: tiered monthly articles (10/20/30), “AI-optimized” content, 2-6 hrs technical SEO, bulk press backlinks (5-30+/mo, syndication class), niche edits, done-for-you publishing, strategy calls. Michael confirmed their press links are bulk syndication. Goal set by Michael: every Lore deliverable must be superior to UC’s version, and the in-house differentiators (video, GEO/citation reporting, founder-voice content) get maximized, all incorporated into the JOLT process first.

Decisions

  1. LINK ENGINE IN-HOUSE (new program, replaces any thought of buying bulk links). Channels, in priority order: (a) expert-quote platforms at AI scale (Featured, Qwoted, SOS, Help a B2B Writer): Hermes monitors queries, drafts founder-voice responses, human approves, submit; (b) original data studies from proprietary RV datasets; (c) free tools as link magnets (small Next.js utilities per niche); (d) unlinked mention reclamation via Exa monitoring; (e) podcast guesting pipeline; (f) newsjacking/reactive PR; (g) existing cross-portfolio credits program (unchanged). Vendor-purchased links: only as a disclosed per-client line item on explicit demand, never default, never hidden. Link reporting sells PROVENANCE (domain, DR, page, why an editor chose it), not count parity with UC’s 30+/mo syndication.

  2. NICHE EDITS: offered ONLY as the honest variant, renamed. Hermes finds already-ranking third-party articles where a client asset (data study, tool, fresher stat) genuinely improves the piece and pitches the author an update. No paid insertions, ever (Google spam policy + RV ban-risk posture). Scale lever is Hermes automation of prospecting + pitch drafting, not payment.

  3. TECHNICAL SEO COMES IN-HOUSE (reverses 2026-07-29 “stays with white-label”). Model: Hermes runs monthly audit (existing collector + tech-opt playbook), produces fix packet, drafts every change; Rafael/Mehul review + apply 1-2 hrs/client/mo for production-touching changes. Platform runbooks needed for WordPress (REST API), Webflow (API v2 + guest seat), Shopify/Next.js (repo access, native mode). Superiority angle: verified outcomes (before/after CWV, indexation, GSC impressions) instead of UC’s billed hours.

  4. DIFFERENTIATOR MAXIMIZATION: video inseparable from articles at top tier (embed + Shorts cutdown + schema); AI citation reporting as flagship monthly artifact (Peec when live, Exa approximation until); firsthand-story onboarding productized (“story vault” kickoff); the whole system marketed as one compounding flywheel, not parallel line items.

  5. ALL OF THE ABOVE PILOTS ON JOLT (client zero) before any paying client.

Where it lives

  • Operational playbook: ~/lore-content/link-engine-playbook.md (channels, gates, cadence, JOLT pilot sequence).
  • architecture.md updated same day (pipeline stage 5c LINK ENGINE, 5b technical reversal, phases).
  • Existing linkable-asset-playbook.md and link-program.md stay; the link engine playbook is the umbrella that references both.
