[michael]: So I mean, I know you had a lot of like meetings and stuff the past couple of days. So like, yeah, what’s going on? [Jeffrey Evans]: Oh, no, I mean, just just companies, investments, interesting time. [Jeffrey Evans]: Did I send you my health care thesis? [michael]: I don’t think we had something on Doctronic specifically from you, I don’t think a broader thesis on it. [Jeffrey Evans]: I should probably do that. There’s something out of that. I’m trying to create some to write the Who Moved My Cheese book. I’m in a few chapters in. [Jeffrey Evans]: But yeah, that’s what’s going on. [Jeffrey Evans]: And part of me was thinking maybe we should maybe I should write about like we’re doing a little for the LP update for like profile on the top six or seven companies in each fund for the LPs and I’ll send you that update it’ll be done next week. [Jeffrey Evans]: We could also use that to I should be writing each of those companies in some interesting form. [michael]: I mean, if you guys are highlighting them as like the ones, two LPs, let’s get getting excited about it. We should do a post about each one for sure. [Jeffrey Evans]: So I think that would be a good, a good thing to do. And then, um, uh, more about healthcare thesis. There’s just a lot of interesting stuff going on about in the world of technology that just sort of, I need to like, like what I did the other day. And sending you that post about, you know, agents that manage agents, like the world we’re coming to. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: I thought my dog picture was perfect. [michael]: I liked it. [Jeffrey Evans]: It’s great because I can have that idea and be like, make me this agents managing agents, but they’re dogs and we’re looking for the poop agent. [michael]: It took a couple iterations, but it did it. [Jeffrey Evans]: So yeah. Did I do a post about the changing workforce? I’m trying to think of the right ways to do the changing workforce post. This leads into the concept of, I want to do something about the massive change in Let me just sort of explain this real quick. If you told people in the early 1990s that if you fast forward 20 years from now, there’ll be tens of millions of jobs in social media management and marketing. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: e-commerce, so on and so forth, you would have been brilliant. [Jeffrey Evans]: People wouldn’t have understood it at all. But you also couldn’t have known that. But the workforce has shifted dramatically. From that. And so, same thing if you went back to the 1920s and said that 80% of the agriculture and farming jobs in the country will be gone in 50 years. [michael]: What will the jobs be? [Jeffrey Evans]: We don’t know. [Jeffrey Evans]: But there’ll be something. It’s the same anxiety that we hear a lot about AI right now. Well, it is. And the hope is that this time it’s not different. Because this could tie into that. And remember what Warren Buffett always says is that when someone tells you, and when you’re looking at investing in something, when someone tells you this time it’s different, it’s not. [michael]: What’s your take on it? Is it different this time? Or is it not? [Jeffrey Evans]: Well, I’m going to go with it’s not. [Jeffrey Evans]: But we don’t know what it’s going to be. [michael]: Because it doesn’t serve any purpose to say this time it’s different. [Jeffrey Evans]: I’m going to die. [Jeffrey Evans]: It always feels Warren Buffett’s point is it always feels like at this time it’s different. Right, but it never is. So if you’re. [michael]: If you’re and this is it, this is an angle to create a series of posts like this subject matter. Yeah, I agree. There’s multiple different angles we could take it within this topic, but if you’re an LP like, Why should you lean in and put more of your capital out there? [Jeffrey Evans]: Because you want to invest with people that have a positive belief in where things are going in the future. And if you think everything’s going to go to shit, then just go put it into a downmarket hedge fund. [michael]: Well, if you think everything’s going to go to shit, go buy a villa in Ibiza and go party it up, right? [Jeffrey Evans]: That’s the next level of shit, right? [michael]: That’s why some of them are building compounds, but who knows, whatever. [Jeffrey Evans]: But I mean, you know, it doesn’t… [michael]: Sam Altman’s got his compound in, I think, Big Sur, right? [Jeffrey Evans]: I don’t know where it is. [Jeffrey Evans]: And by the way, that the whole concept of… [Jeffrey Evans]: Someone asked me, like, what if AI gets rid of all the jobs? I said, then we’ll get rid of AI. They’re like, what do you mean? I’m like, well, think about it. I said, at the end of the day, people need to stay in power because they want power, governments have to stay in power. So if the problem is that there are no jobs because of AI, and it’s like the Chinese AI is destroying the American economy, we’re all going to die, then we’ll just go bomb all the data centers in the world. I don’t mean that, that’s a little tongue in cheek, but there’s a reality to that. [michael]: Yeah, that’s what Tucker Carlson said. [Jeffrey Evans]: Yeah, data centers will be prime target ones, by the way, going forward, as opposed to like Chicago, the nukes gonna be aimed at data centers, at massive data centers. [michael]: You take those out, you take everything out. [Jeffrey Evans]: And Elon’s gonna fix that by putting the data centers in space. So they have that whole thing too. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: But it’s like, it’s, it’s like, there’s no, there’s no point in dwelling on, it’s the it’s the apocalyptic end of the world. [Jeffrey Evans]: It doesn’t, there’s nothing positive that comes from that and you can’t do anything about it. So focusing on what are all the things, what are all the positives, what can come from this, is what you need to be focused on. And then where are the opportunities that come from that? What do you need to be focused on? [michael]: Because it doesn’t help to focus on the alternative. [michael]: No, unless you have some agenda and you want a book deal and you want to be a talking head and stuff like that. And a fear monger. Like who’s that guy? Um, we don’t need to call him out in a post or anything, but, uh, Elysir Yudakowsky, I don’t know if I’m pronouncing his name wrong, but you’ve seen this guy. No, he’s like a real big, like he like wrote the book on being an AI doomer, basically. Um, one of these like message board warriors. [Jeffrey Evans]: Who’s never. [michael]: been sowing fear about AI for years. And he actually got pretty popular. [michael]: People consider him a thoughtful voice. [Jeffrey Evans]: He’s smart. He’s the Mary guy. [michael]: He’s the what guy? [Jeffrey Evans]: Mary, the Machine Intelligence Researching Institute. [michael]: Yeah, no, I mean, he can articulate his thoughts really well, and he has interesting thoughts, but most of them are just about how, you know, we’re all fucked, basically. [Jeffrey Evans]: Yeah, here it is. Yuri believes that creating superhuman artificial general intelligence without solving the alignment problem, ensuring that its goals match human values, will lead to destruction of humanity. Right, yeah, exactly. [michael]: That’s like a core thing that he probably believes. [michael]: It’s like, Have you ever heard of This is something we can maybe do a post on. Have you ever heard of Rocco’s Basilisk? [Jeffrey Evans]: It’s a thought experiment. [michael]: Basically, it says that if there is a future where there is an actual AI superintelligence that can, you know, has power and everything like that, even if it is supposed to be like kind and nice and gentle and like, you know, respectful of humans, it would still punish people who knew that it could exist, but didn’t directly contribute making it exist. [michael]: So it’s like it’s like, [michael]: It’s basically saying that if you’re not working on super intelligent AI, there’s a higher chance that that eventual super intelligent AI will kill you. [Jeffrey Evans]: That’s stupid. Yeah, but it gained a lot of traction online. [Jeffrey Evans]: Well, of course it does. [michael]: What else? I’m thinking. Yeah, normally I have a chance to with Austin before this and we jammed for like an hour, but he hasn’t really been. [Jeffrey Evans]: It’s all good, as long as we’re good for next week. [michael]: Yeah, we’ll definitely be good for next week and probably even the week after that, honestly, so not super worried about it. Also, if you send over the LP update whenever it’s ready, that’ll give us a ton of ammo. We’ve got a little backlog. [Jeffrey Evans]: What is in queue right now? [michael]: Um, let me pull up, you know, doing a notion. [Jeffrey Evans]: Cause we knocked out the one about consumer versus enterprise vibe coding. We did that factory. [michael]: Hold on. I’m pulling up. I’m pulling up our notion here. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Um, okay. If this is, If this is up to date, then we’ve got two that we’re editing. [michael]: And five that are ready to go. So we’ve got we’ve got enough to go on. [Jeffrey Evans]: What are the five that are ready to go? [michael]: It’s the ones from batch nine. Consumer versus enterprise vibe coding. Healthcare next breakthrough. That’s [Jeffrey Evans]: So Doctronic is actually raising another round now. [michael]: Good for them. [Jeffrey Evans]: Can we just take out the line recently raised a $20 million through their Live by Lightspeed? [michael]: Yeah, I will make a note of that. [Jeffrey Evans]: Just take that line out. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: But didn’t we already mention Utah? [michael]: We already did a Doctronic post after they announced the Utah thing. We did. Yeah, we did. [Jeffrey Evans]: Do we need to update this post? [michael]: I’ll make a note for Austin and Ben. I just want to think if we need to update it. [Jeffrey Evans]: I’ll look at it too. The next frontier for AI deep research is finally being rebuilt. [michael]: And then, um, last mile gap and, uh, I’ll, I’ll just re look at these to make sure there’s nothing I want to change in them, but I’m looking at this here. [Jeffrey Evans]: And then looking ahead. Go ahead. And we’re looking ahead for [michael]: Yes, that is in review. [Jeffrey Evans]: And then where I eat first, these are all. [Jeffrey Evans]: So I got to deal with this content that’s right now. [michael]: I think that’s most of these were already I think already looked at this batch, batch nine. [Jeffrey Evans]: I probably did. I just want to look one more time and see if I have any changes. Yeah, sure. [michael]: But I mean, good though. [Jeffrey Evans]: All right, cool. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Well, so let’s just deal with this. Let me do that. [Jeffrey Evans]: And we can deal with it next week. [michael]: And I can send the LP update, which will spark up when thinking about what’s going Yeah, we’ll have a ton of questions on that for sure, because we want to go deeper on a lot of the stuff in there. [Jeffrey Evans]: And are you guys responding back to people that comment and stuff? [michael]: I believe so. We should be. That’s part of what we’re supposed to be. [Jeffrey Evans]: And are you guys looking at people who request to connect? [michael]: Yeah, we should be doing that also. I instructed Ben to start proactively doing that with folks, too. Like our target ICP. [Jeffrey Evans]: And what about people who? [michael]: Because I think that’s one of the biggest limiting factors with any like newer account that’s starting to post is like, we want to keep getting seen by new people every time. And the algorithm will show it to people who aren’t connected to you or don’t follow you. But we also want to grow that connection base because it to those people more often. [Jeffrey Evans]: Like it says I have 1,285 invitations. [michael]: Right now, invitations? I mean, look, if you want, we can just go through those and anybody who seems tangentially related to, you know, either potential LPs or even founders, we could just accept them and then you have basically, you know. [Jeffrey Evans]: I’ll never get through them. [michael]: No, I know, but what I’m saying is I can have then do it, and he can just do it. Yeah, great. [Jeffrey Evans]: Making it great. [michael]: Okay, let’s do it. Yeah, that’ll be good, because then we’ll get up to, that’ll put you near like what, three something thousand connections, which is. [Jeffrey Evans]: Two, yeah. Yeah, easy. [Jeffrey Evans]: That’s a lot, oh my God, okay. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: We’ll have you, we’ll have you at 10 K in no time. Okay, cool. [Jeffrey Evans]: Can you monetize your LinkedIn connection? [michael]: Uh, not directly on the platform, but in theory, uh, a bigger LinkedIn, like we’ve had a bunch of clients who, you know, their founders are in a certain niche and they get noticed on LinkedIn and then they start getting offered like paid speaking opportunities and, um, onto ships and things like that. [Jeffrey Evans]: Yeah, okay, cool, whatever All right killer great have him do that and then we’re set and then we can we can I’ll send the update I’ll keep working on and then we’re like I Could batch 9 is fine. Unless I make changes. I’ll let you know if I make changes cool. [michael]: Sounds good, man Beautiful sweet. All right. Have a good week you too.
