[Michael Houck]: If so, I’d love to go there. Yeah, that’s cool. Come hang out. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: That’s dope. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Sweet. [Michael Houck]: What’s going on? A lot. I have 12 hours of travel starting at 5 AM tomorrow. Oh, cool. Yeah, so that’s going to be fun. But then I’m in Hawaii, so it’ll be all right. [Blake Stewart]: Oh, nice. [Blake Stewart]: What island? [Michael Houck]: Just Oahu. [Michael Houck]: It’s for a wedding. Oh, cool. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: OK. [Michael Houck]: I’ll be there for a week. So I’ll be responsive at weird times and stuff. Not that I’m already not responsive at weird times, but weird times for me. Right. OK, cool. Actually, at normal times, maybe. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: I don’t know. [Blake Stewart]: We’ll see. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Nice. [Michael Houck]: Sweet. I’m totally going to use this. [Blake Stewart]: This is great. There’s some more options to have a little fun. I don’t know. Somehow I got the neon light idea from chat GPT and kind of played around with it. But that’s super cool. [Michael Houck]: I’m going to throw it. How can I add it to my Google Meet? [Blake Stewart]: Oh, there we go. VICTORY.NOTES. Background and effects, yeah. [Michael Houck]: Oh, wait, background and effects. OK, no, I didn’t see that. I went into settings. Oh, there it is. And then, yeah. Oh, wow. That’s cool. I like the one in the corner the best, I think. All right, how do I do this? I’ve never done this before. Yeah, me either. [Ben Ornstein]: I’m trying to figure this out live, too. [Michael Houck]: Oh, wait, here we go. Your own personal background. OK, there we go. Wrong image, guys. I don’t know if you’re a Lakers fan or not, but they’ve been tough to watch in the playoffs. [Blake Stewart]: I mean, they’re old. [Michael Houck]: And Luke is fat, so. Is mine the wrong way, or do you see it? No, you’re good. [Blake Stewart]: They’re both fine. It’ll show backwards when you’re looking at yourself, but they’re correct. Got it. OK. The mirror is on, so here. [Ben Ornstein]: Cool. [Ben Ornstein]: I like this a lot. I’m keeping this. [Michael Houck]: There you go. [Michael Houck]: Now, welcome to the office. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I feel like Anthony Edwards saying that they were gassed is like the only revenge Nico Harrison will get this year, which is all he needs. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, seriously. That was such a crazy trade. Yeah. He’s fun to watch, though. He’s something else. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, he’s a scumbag, but he’s fun to watch. That’s for sure. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Cool. [Michael Houck]: So let’s dive in. If possible, I would like to get some of this time back so I can go down and grind on some stuff before I have to head out. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: So let’s see what we got. [Michael Houck]: Okay, Ben, so let’s talk about ads. So I was the blocker here. And I know that I gave you feedback on that late last week. So we are going to go live with the first batch today. So we’re about a week behind, but that’s okay. That’s on me. So no performance to evaluate. And also, I don’t think that we should create more this since we already have two batches done and approved. No need to spend the time on it this week. So I’m just going to take those live today. And then next week, we’ll evaluate performance and restart the creation process. Sounds good. [Ben Ornstein]: I sent you the finalized, the edited week one version. So those should be all 100% good to go. Cool. [Michael Houck]: OK, I’ll take a look at them right after we hop off. And I’ll just do that so we can start collecting data. Since we already have the two different campaigns set up, and they have the trained conversion events already, and the trained targeting pixel already, I think that we won’t have a learning phase. So normally, when we start one of these, if it’s a new setup, we’d be limited on the amount that we could spend. And also, we’d get really bad results for the first week or so as it learns through the target. But I’m pretty sure that we don’t need to do that. I know it’s been a while since we’ve used this account, but I think it lingers. So I think we’ll just start seeing results within an hour or two of launching. I’m going to monitor throughout the week to see where our CPA is. I would like it to be under $2. If it's like $3 or more, we’ll need to pause and revise The creative and and things like that, but um, the creators are good. [Ben Ornstein]: So I think they’ll I think they’ll perform Sounds good, and I’ll start to do more of those, you know avatar ones, um I I think it’s good to throw in some static images, but um, yeah, I’ll do like because I know you were you seem to be more pumped about the ones that were like You know the avatar saying saying things. [Michael Houck]: Um Yeah, I mean I’m what’s always going to perform best is something people haven’t seen before, right? And so the avatars, it looks like we’re paying creators, and that’s a format that did very well for us before. So I’m biased towards that. The other thing is that when they talk about the lead magnets, that’s in particular what I’m biased towards, because those do just in general perform better, like giving someone something rather than telling them to sign up for a newsletter and perform better. So yeah, I think the avatars who are talking about the lead magnets is going to be our best performing ones, if I had to guess. Sounds good. But I could be wrong. [Michael Houck]: It could be the total opposite. [Michael Houck]: We’ll see what things are like, Definitely. OK, Blake, let’s talk Valley. [Blake Stewart]: OK. Yeah, I launched it Friday. So, we got about 19 messages out, 28 emails out, got four replies. And so, yeah, the process is good. I’m just going through approving messages, changing them, you know, giving a feedback so it’s better. And then, you know, we can ramp those numbers up more. We did have one negative reply, just like, no, I don’t want your service. I don’t want to connect, which means. It’s expected. So I’ll keep that in mind, but it might tone back our connection requests. It might just be better to send a message instead of the connection requests. I don’t know if you really care about that. Personally, I don’t care at all. [Michael Houck]: I think you should ask everyone individually if they care about it. But I don’t care at all. And just so I have these numbers right, connection requests or 19 in-mails? [Blake Stewart]: Which one was it? 19 messages. [Michael Houck]: What was the message? What was the message? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: No, no, no. What is a message? [Michael Houck]: Is a message a connection request with like a thing attached or is it an in-mail? [Blake Stewart]: I think the in-mail is the connection request with the message. Okay. And then messages is just kind of that cold outreach. [Michael Houck]: Um, I think we should ask them because that sounds backwards to me because like an email, I feel like it’s just oddly is the connection request. [Blake Stewart]: That’s weird. [Ben Ornstein]: Cause yeah, an email on LinkedIn is just a message. Yeah, that sounds backwards. [Michael Houck]: I think the email is the one without the connection requests. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. Okay. I’ll confirm that. Yeah. What did we get the responses to? [Michael Houck]: Were those to the connection requests or were they to the in mails? [Blake Stewart]: Uh, it was to both. So four total replies. One was the connection requests. [Michael Houck]: The other three were messages. Okay. So, and which one is the 19th of Which one, what is what? [Blake Stewart]: The 19 was the messages, and it’s actually up to, it was 28 in-mails, it’s up to 31 now, but yeah, so 30 in-mails. [Michael Houck]: Okay, so our response rate for the in-mails is 10%, and our response rate for the connection requests like 5% basically. Okay. Yeah. That’s a good way. Yep. Yep. Okay. [Blake Stewart]: We should track that week over week and like a spreadsheet or something. Yeah. So it’s, it’s tracked here. Okay. So acceptance rank for message In man hasn’t really sent too much And this one says zero percent zero percent zero percent. So yeah, it’s like less than one. Yes We’re gonna see that in in Valley campaigns It’s tracked for each campaign and so It’s not the most from my account and I’ve approved some for Raina. I’ve approved So you Blake and Ben haven’t really said much been sent a couple but your connection keeps getting disconnected So I I’m pretty sure that because I am logging in and out of different client accounts I don’t know if this is gonna work for me. [Ben Ornstein]: I can’t believe that they don’t have a solution for that That seems pretty obvious to me but I’m convinced that That mine keeps getting disconnected because I’m logging into all these different linkedin accounts Can you just log into the one for your account in a different browser Yeah, I could do that yeah, let me uh The I guess it would have to be the opposite because valley is only a google Um, yeah, but there’s, but there’s lots of different Google Chrome browsers. [Michael Houck]: There’s brave, there’s a sidekick, there’s arc, there’s Chris works. Okay. [Ben Ornstein]: I’m just a Google Chrome guy to like, I know like nothing about. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, just download it, download site, download arc arc is the best download arc. [Ben Ornstein]: And that’s what I’ll put my, I’ll do it there. I’ll use that LinkedIn there. [Michael Houck]: Whatever you’re not using. [Ben Ornstein]: Just use that for your LinkedIn. [Ben Ornstein]: Okay. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, that’ll that’ll solve it actually Okay, so I’m looking at the the stats now, so 63% said what is the 40% number? There’s like a pop-up blocking it that it doesn’t let me click out of you can move that if you click it move it Oh Interesting, okay, so 16, 40%, and then wait, it’s not correct in an intuitive way. What is the other one that has 20 reach outs and a 0% response rate? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: That’s Rina? [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, that’s an in-mail campaign from Rina. [Michael Houck]: Oh, yeah, I see how you’re doing. Both for both. OK. That makes sense. So yeah, messages seems to be better. [Blake Stewart]: And then I’m going to try. [Michael Houck]: Well, it could also be just the account. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, like Reena’s account. Maybe people just aren’t responding to her. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, definitely not enough data to convince me of one or the other. So we’ll keep it going. And yeah, it’s only been a few messages. And I don’t have a post campaign yet. So I’m going to run one of those today to see how people react to that. I think that will probably have the best depending on the post. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Cool. Yeah, that’d be great. [Blake Stewart]: Especially if it’s a recent post. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah. So kind of getting used to this. Um, I didn’t want to launch a bunch of stuff. Right. That kind of easy into it. Um, yeah. So Yeah, I guess that’s, I mean, I’m happy with it so far. I know we were messaging about kind of the do’s and don’ts and kind of taking out the creator network. It keeps alluding to megaphone your SaaS product instead of as a ghostwriting service. So I definitely want to tweak that a little bit more. [Michael Houck]: Should I just remove it entirely, the creator network? Because I don’t know if there’s, the way they have this listed, it’s like a list of value propositions about this product or service. And like, I put like the bottom one, like, which I assume is maybe it’s priority. I don’t know. The bottom one is just reference to the creator network, no specific numbers, just very general and broad. So if it’s still sending messages like that today, I think we probably just need to cut it. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. Um, you have it in the brief description is or yeah, it’s in the brief description. [Michael Houck]: Oh yeah, you’re right, you’re right, you’re right. [Blake Stewart]: I think that’s where we need to cut it, or at least take the 400 craters out. [Michael Houck]: I will change that. I’ll change that now. It’s a shame, because it would be good if it could figure it out, but I guess it might be confusing to it. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah. And that’s kind of another thing as well, is I don’t know how well these leads are going to be. I don’t know their intention, really, and I don’t want your calendar to get looked with a bunch of just like low conversations that aren’t going to convert well. So of the responses, some of them were like, yeah, I’m interested in talking because it seems very just casual, which it’s not as strong of a pitch. So maybe we should change that a little bit more too. Or one thing is it’s like immediately sending your calendar or in your calendar instead of maybe the landing page? Maybe we do landing page first and then book your calendar. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah, that’s probably a good idea. [Michael Houck]: That way people see pricing. They see the service breakdown. How can we get it to do that? [Blake Stewart]: I could probably just train it. [Michael Houck]: One thing we could maybe do. So in the product, it has both company URL and booking link. Technically, I think we have the way booking link on the notion page, like website right now, we could just send them there. I don’t think you can remove your booking link. [Blake Stewart]: Right. [Michael Houck]: But like, no, what I mean is like, we just use the same URL for both and just send them to the notion page. Okay. Yeah. All right. [Blake Stewart]: That’s good. [Michael Houck]: I mean, would that be, would that be weird? Like, is it like, here’s my Calendly. Is it like go here to book a time or something? [Blake Stewart]: It’s, it’s sending your calendar link. Um, and it’s like all the, the, the verbiage is like, do you want to chat about this? Like, do you want to find some time to talk? So it’s kind of like alluding to a call anyway. [Michael Houck]: I’m going to, I’m going to, I’m going to change it up. I’m going to use the, um, the notion page and let’s just test that out and see if it’s like any awkward phrasing or anything like that. Okay. Okay. Okay. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [Blake Stewart]: Cause I don’t want to load up your calendar with a bunch of people who aren’t going to buy. [Michael Houck]: Yeah. I would, uh, I would not be thrilled about that. Um, okay. Like some of the responses, some of these founders are like, okay, I’m launching a meme coin. [Blake Stewart]: Like I’m talking about like tokenization and what three and I’m like, eh, it’s probably not a good fit. So we’ve got, we’ve got a crypto guy. [Michael Houck]: He can write stuff. Hey, if they’re meme coin people, maybe they have some money. [Blake Stewart]: We’ll do it. I don’t care. [Michael Houck]: We should never say no to cash. Even if it’s poop shit coin cash. Whatever. Cool. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, the main takeaway is we launched some messages, still getting used to it. Yeah, data is in there to be tracked, but definitely some more optimization to be done. And so that’s going to be the main focus of the week. Yeah, I guess, like, what should our goal be for this week? [Michael Houck]: Should we frame it around, like, how many messages we send out? Should we frame it around how many meetings Should we just keep it a little more general for this week while you’re still kind of getting the hang of the trend? [Blake Stewart]: I mean, right now, most of those messages were sent from me and Reina, so I want messages across the entire team. I want every campaign going. I want an event campaign as well to compare. Yeah, I mean, I would like 50 messages sent from every campaign by the end of the week so that next week we actually have some more data to compare. Cool. [Michael Houck]: Okay, that sounds that sounds good. Let’s let’s keep it kind of loose like that then for this week. And then in the next week or two, we’ll sort of narrow in on Okay, here’s how many meetings we want booked this weekend. Here’s how we can expect that. Let me while this is on my mind, I’m going to block off my calendar for my my flight back. So if we’re starting to get things booked, I don’t have to like cancel these people What day is this? Did I not book a flight? Oh, no. I don’t know. I’ve got to look this up later. My flight back from Hawaii, I don’t see it anywhere. So I’ll have to find it. Maybe I’ll just stay there indefinitely then. [Michael Houck]: Who knows? [Michael Houck]: Not a bad place. [Blake Stewart]: Go to Kauai. I love that island. That’s the one I haven’t been to. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I wanna go, but I won’t have time to strip. Okay, so with that in mind then, let’s move on to thing number three, which is content. Okay, so how did I do last week? Let’s see. I only posted on a couple of days, I think. I think I posted on two days, so not very good. Actually, no. I posted on three days, but I deleted one of them because I was getting negative reactions to it. I posted a meme. There was actually a really detailed and thoughtful post about the Pope. Yeah, it was the Pope, man. Lady Vance and the Pope? Yeah. People were messaging me like, this is blasphemous. Like, give us some time. This is a professional setting. Like, it was crazy. And I was like, guys, it’s a meme. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Like, relax. [Michael Houck]: That’s surprising. Yeah. So, OK. So I think that the learning here is that maybe we should be not too Like, I don’t know, I guess we should just be sensitive to religious stuff. But also, I think we’ve noticed a trend or like anything that’s negative, people kind of freak out about it, at least with my audience. So I think being positive some is really important. So that’s the learning. I’m working with Jacob on some of the content stuff. Basically, we’re not at the point where I feel like I can just turn over the writing to him yet. I think that he’s, I sort of given him, I’ve probably given him conflicting guidance, but I had told him that I want longer posts sort of like Greg Eisenberg does. But the problem is what’s happening is that Jacob is taking them from the newsletter and just sort of like tweaking them for social, but they’re still written to like newslettery. So they’re not like passing sort of like assessment of what should go on social. And so I’m going to spend some time with him on Wednesday just to narrow it on that. I think he’s doing a pretty good job with the memes. But I want to get this to the point where we can get stuff out every day and also have more like infographics and stuff. So the good news is that by going through this, I’m going to sort of streamline some of our processes for our clients too, specifically around images and stuff. It’ll be that positive, but it’s just taking a little longer to get off the ground and that I had hoped Images is interesting. [Blake Stewart]: You want to rent that up across clients you said? [Michael Houck]: No, we just want to be able to offer the clients like a really good a really good guy to follow for this or to like see what I’m talking about is here I’ll drop it in the chat is this guy and I Know him pretty well It’s just him and his wife who do this. And basically, they have a very distinct visual style. Every day, they’re posting stuff in that style, carousels, or just one-off infographics even, or text posts, whatever. But it’s all in the same style. And so building that visual identity, I feel like, is really important. Not every client’s going to be able to afford it, because it’s expensive to do this stuff, at least to do it although maybe with AI, now it’s less expensive. But yeah, we just need to ramp this, at least for me, and then try to find a way to bring it to the clients, too. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah, that’s awesome. OK. [Michael Houck]: I think, yeah, this is going to probably drive me to bring down the cost of some of our visual stuff, too. Because now that I think about it, with some of the things You can probably do this stuff pretty quickly. But know that they’re not. They’re doing it all from scratch. So my plan for this week is to be posting every day, and then YouTube, too. I just can’t get the time. It’s been really, really busy. Rough the past couple weeks yeah okay any questions on content anything we should plan ahead or not that I can think of saying just just keep on keep thinking about it. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Cool. [Blake Stewart]: Well, it sounds good, then. [Michael Houck]: We can grab the half back. [Michael Houck]: Sounds good. All right. [Blake Stewart]: If you need me to jump in anywhere, I know you’re busy traveling, so both of you. Yeah, I will. [Michael Houck]: I’m actively looking for areas to help that I can send your way right now. But they’re not entirely dependent on me. The problem is that for the past two weeks, there’s been such a stack of things that are uniquely dependent on me that I can’t ever get to the end of that stack. And so everyone’s been suffering as a result, unfortunately. But I’ll talk to you guys. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: See you.
