Decision
Pause all Kit automation work for Adam’s funnel emails. Build the bulk of the email automation logic in Resend instead. Ben had nearly finished the Kit side (everything except the downsell “D” automation guard logic) when this pivot was called.
Context
Ben hit a technical limitation in Kit: no way to split an OR condition within an AND in the secondary automation branches (false paths). The specific blocker was the “Kit or membership trial: under $1M" branch that requires: `Kits bought does not exist AND Membership interest does not exist AND (Builder's Room interest does not exist OR Builder's Room interest is applied: under $1M)`. Kit’s automation builder can’t model that structure cleanly outside the top-level flow.
Options considered
- Work around the limitation in Kit with stacked true/false branches (Ben’s suggestion; partial workaround, not clean).
- Move to Resend for the full funnel automation logic (chosen).
Consequences
- Ben stops Kit automation work immediately.
- Funnel email sequences to be rebuilt/built in Resend.
- Blake Emal and Tatem should be aware the funnel delivery timeline shifts.
