scope: client-account — Rye Valley delivery decision about how to approach the Aeon prospect engagement.
- Date: 2026-09-24
- Decider(s): Michael Houck, Emma (Lore)
- Status: decided
Decision
Quote Aeon a website rebuild as a standalone one-off project priced separately upfront, then a comprehensive retainer covering: Socials x2 (personal + business), SEO + GEO, and newsletter (sold separately for lower-funnel nurture).
Context
Post-discovery debrief after the Lore <> Aeon call (see Lore <> Aeon Discovery Call). Aeon’s website is essentially unusable for organic conversion — 2 meaningful pages, no CTAs, no company pages. A content engine will drive traffic they cannot convert without the site rebuild first.
Options Considered
- Bundle website into the retainer: rejected. The rebuild goes “beyond” standard technical SEO/GEO baseline included in normal package; quoting it separately sets clear expectations and makes the investment visible to the client.
- Skip website, start with content only: rejected. “Useless traffic because it can’t do anything” without key pages and CTAs in place.
Consequences
- Emma to draft website scope + package quote and send to Michael by next morning.
- Michael to compile full proposal and deliver to Aeon over the weekend.
