Decision

Michael is replacing Notion with the Rye Valley client portal for client-facing editing and content approvals. A proposal document was shared with Blake Emal and Blake Stewart for process review.

Post scheduling will also be brought into the client portal, targeted “sometime next month” (October 2026) — but explicitly NOT part of this release.

Context

Michael shared a Google Doc proposal in Megaphone to Blake Emal (U076187FXRQ) and Blake Stewart (U08CWJDSTNV) explaining how the new client editing/approval workflow will interact with internal Slack and Studio processes.

Blake Emal asked whether the internal/team side would look like the current Notion setup visually. Michael said yes on the client side. On the internal/team side, he left it open to Blake’s preference.

Options considered

  • Keep Notion for editing: rejected; replacing with portal to centralize client workflow
  • Post scheduling in same release: rejected; deferred to next month

Consequences

  • Blake Emal and Blake Stewart to review the proposal and leave comments
  • Clients will edit and approve content inside the client portal instead of Notion
  • Post scheduling (separate feature) targets October 2026
  • Internal/team-side layout TBD pending Blake Emal feedback on whether Notion-style view is preferred
