Decision

Michael’s personal content account on JOLT will pursue a volume strategy (post frequently, fail fast, find what resonates). Core topic angle: running an agent-powered holdco. Link in bio directs to a free resource; upsell is a company brain build-out.

Context

Michael asked Tatem (JOLT account lead) in jolt to articulate the tradeoff between volume/growth vs. other strategies. After the discussion, Michael chose volume. Previous idea of centering content around “tough decisions” was considered too niche. The holdco/agent angle was Michael’s own framing: specific, broadly interesting, and coherent.

Options considered

  • Volume/growth play (chosen): Post frequently, topics clear within days. Higher time cost but more efficient with Tatem’s support. Wins quickly if hooks land.
  • Credibility/low-cadence play: 1-3 posts/week, slow growth, positions as a serious operator. Rejected as insufficient for Michael’s growth goals.
  • “Hard calls” / tough-decisions angle: Considered previously. Michael concluded it is too niche.

Consequences

  • Content theme: agent-powered holdco operator.
  • Funnel: link in bio to free resource, upsell to company brain build.
  • Not anchoring content to Silicon Valley or conventional VC/founder context.
  • Tatem to help with efficiency for the volume cadence.
