Decision
Most Megaphone client case studies for the new site (dev.megaphonestudio.com) will need to be anonymized. Confirmed candidates for public, named case studies are: Noel (Augment) and Bryndis. Ben Gusberg is possible but unconfirmed. Walid is uncertain. Draper should not be approached without careful thought (see Draper - Would Not Want to Admit They Use Megaphone). Michael and Blake Emal should each have their own accounts as case studies as well.
Context
Michael asked the Megaphone team in Megaphone which clients could sign off on a public case study for the new marketing site. Blake Stewart flagged that most clients would not want to be known as using the service. Ben (account manager) confirmed Noel and Bryndis are solid candidates.
Options considered
- Use real, named client case studies
- Anonymize most and use only consenting clients as named examples
Consequences
- Outreach to Noel and Bryndis for consent can proceed.
- Walid should be assessed before outreach.
- Draper should not be approached without explicit internal alignment first.
- Site copywriting (being handled by Blake Emal) should account for this constraint; likely only 2-3 named case studies available at launch.
- Michael and Blake Emal’s own accounts serve as first-party case studies and need no consent.
