FLAG: CLIENT POSTING BOUNDARY - review same day.
Channel: Megaphone Person: Blake Stewart (account lead, speaking from his read of the client) Date: 2026-09-01 Permalink: https://ryevalley.slack.com/archives/C06UJ3V2HEV/p1788294620785619
Blake Stewart’s exact words
“I don’t really know the other ones but I don’t think Draper would want to admit they are using us. I think just Ben, but don’t know the others.”
Context: the thread was about which Megaphone clients could sign off on a public case study for the new dev.megaphonestudio.com site.
What this means
Draper Associates (Michelle Kwok, James Walker, Max Bucaille) should NOT be used as a named public case study on any Megaphone-facing surface without explicit, separate sign-off from the client.
The concern per Blake is not about content quality - it is reputational: Draper would not want it known publicly that they use a ghostwriting/social growth service.
This is different from the question of whether the account is performing well. Even positive results cannot be attributed to Draper publicly without their consent.
What is NOT decided here
Blake does not have explicit confirmation from Draper that they object - this is his read from working the account. A formal ask has not been made. Michael did not contradict this read in the thread.
For Michael / account lead
- Do not use Draper as a named case study until there is explicit client approval.
- If a case study is wanted from this account tier (billionaire VC) for sales purposes, consider anonymizing (“a major VC fund”) or asking the client directly before publishing.
NEVER edit clients/draper/voice-card.md or rule-card.json from this note. Propose changes to Michael or the account lead.
