Decision
Rye Valley will trial Agree.com as the primary AR platform across all four LLCs (Rye Valley, Megaphone, Jolt, Lore), replacing DocuSign/PandaDoc for e-signature and consolidating invoicing/payment processing. Michael will audit the current stack and work with Agree’s co-founder Will on white-glove onboarding.
Context
Michael joined an Agree.com demo with Mona Darwish after evaluating options to reduce subscription fees on e-signature tools and lower payment processing costs across the agencies. The workspace model (one environment per LLC) and the MCP integration with Claude/Hermes were decisive factors. See meeting file: Agree.com Demo with Michael Houck.
Options considered
- Continue with DocuSign/PandaDoc (separate e-signature subscriptions) + Stripe for invoicing. Rejected: fragmented stack, higher fees, no consolidation benefit.
- Vibe-code a custom invoicing solution. Not considered for this use case given scale and payment-processor compliance requirements.
Consequences
- All agency client contracts to migrate to Agree workspaces (one per LLC)
- Invoicing fee potentially reduced from ~2.93% to 2.7-2.75%; fee pass-through to clients unlocked post first $100K
- Existing Stripe subscriptions/customers to be migrated via Agree’s Stripe migration feature (no re-entry of payment info)
- Will (Agree co-founder) to begin workspace setup this week even while Michael is traveling
- Blake to be looped in on partnership channel (newsletter placements, dinners, co-events with Agree/Lightfield)
- QuickBooks integration to eliminate double-entry on invoices
