Decision

Create one PostHog project per application. Currently all Rye Valley apps share a single PostHog project, which pollutes analytics data across apps (e.g. Jolt metrics are mixed with other product metrics).

Context

Rafael flagged this in the jolt thread when reviewing the Jolt weekly report metrics (week of Aug 10-16). The “7 starter kit purchases” number looked wrong, possibly because Jolt shares a PostHog project with other apps, and events like the starter kit thank-you page landing are getting mixed signals (the starter kit was recently added as a bonus for completing a survey, which may also be distorting the funnel).

Michael confirmed: “Yes we should do that with PostHog.” Rafael will investigate.

Consequences

Rafael to create separate PostHog projects for each application. Current shared project data should be treated as approximate until migration is complete. Source: jolt, permalink https://ryevalley.slack.com/archives/C0B2Z0ND6M9/p1786971651832379
