Decision

  1. Every new client kickoff and every account handoff gets a content interview call (non-negotiable; this is where strategy resets and voice material come from).
  2. Steady-state cadence is per-client, chosen by the client at kickoff/onboarding: monthly sync offered as the default, but clients who prefer async (prompts, Notion edits, voice notes) stay async. No blanket monthly mandate.
  3. Trigger-based extra calls when signals warrant: repeated Edits Required cycles, strategy complaints, big client milestones, review latency spiking.
  4. Blake S raises the cadence question on onboarding calls going forward.

Evidence behind it (week of 2026-08-04 transcripts)

  • Jeffrey Evans: asked for biweekly content interviews.
  • Pierce Freeman: explicitly wants prompts, not interviews.
  • Will Hinman: Monday prompts + voice notes, interviews periodic as needed. Delivery and input preferences do not generalize across clients; forcing a uniform cadence would add friction for async-preference clients while starving high-touch ones.

Open dependency

Blake E is not yet on Granola/Read.ai; transcripts arrive only when Michael forwards them. Call capture tooling for Blake E is the bigger lever than cadence itself.
