Relocate to Charleston, SC for a three-month pilot starting July 2025, with a decision at the two-and-a-half-month mark. Outcome: stayed; Rye Valley HQ is Charleston (Rye Valley (holding company)).
Context
Michael had been traveling between cities and short-term rentals for months. Being in one place was expected to help productivity. Being settled also prompted the in-person retreat/dinner ideas and renewed thinking about raising a fund (2025-07-22, 2025-07-29).
