Summary

Kick-off call re-engaging Realworld for SEO/GEO work through the Lore/Law Builders arm. Realworld completely rearchitected from a single product into a suite: Life Dash (centralized AI-powered hub for finances, health, tax, documents) and Life Kits (21-22 targeted packages for specific life events - marriage, pregnancy, graduation, buying a home, retirement, etc.). Nearly 300 individual tools across all kits. New features: Rewards network (positioned as “Amex for adulthood”) and Sunday Reset (weekly check-in).

Critical technical problem: Site migrated from WordPress to Lovable. The Drop-in Blog connector disconnected, causing 885 of ~997 ranking keywords to return 404s - representing ~148k monthly search volume at risk. Immediate priority is reconnecting and reindexing.

Strategy: Life kits live on subdomains (Google treats as separate sites), so blog attaches to main realworld.co domain with CTAs pushing to subdomains. Priority order for content: high volume + low difficulty, adjusted by kit popularity. Early data suggests marriage, pregnancy/new baby, and buying a home are most popular; pregnancy prioritized first (natural funnel into new baby). Backlinks: US only, monthly press release. GEO vs SEO: industry-dependent; GEO sometimes outperforms, but CRO on-site is often the real bottleneck.

Rebrand note: Megaphone/Lore’s GEO/SEO arm is rebranding to Law Builders. Geo will ask Genevieve to switch Search Console and GA access to the new Law Builders email within a few days.

Decisions

  • Reconnect Drop-in Blog and reindex all 404’d URLs as immediate first priority
  • Blog content strategy: evergreen articles in topic clusters, not themed weekly; chase best growth opportunities across all kits simultaneously
  • Content prioritization: pregnancy kit first, then by difficulty vs. volume; no per-kit conversion data yet
  • Blog attaches to main domain (realworld.co), not subdomains; footer/homepage links maintain SEO equity
  • Backlinks: US-only focus; monthly press release; Geo picks highest-potential angles
  • Partner mentions in blog posts generally don’t need pre-approval unless controversial; don’t pair competing partners
  • Schema markup audit on Lovable pages added to Geo’s list

See Realworld SEO/GEO Content Strategy - Re-engagement for the content strategy decision.

Notable transcript excerpts

“885 of the 900-and-something [keywords] came from the blog initially. Now their blog URLs right now, because that drop-in blog connector has disconnected, they’re four-zero-four-ing, which means if you have a four-zero-four page, it eventually drops off… [148k] of potential, the actual amount people are searching these for per month.”

“Every life kit is a cluster. It’s a purpose. It’s a time in your life. It’s a problem, whatever. And then there’s so many pain points and needs that all feed into that one topic… there’s, like, over almost 300 individual little tools that people can use. So just so many ways that we can create hype around these helpful little things.”

“Where I personally find it not to be quite an equivalent fight sometimes is our on-site conversion… if you do have 50,000 people on-site, if our only buttons literally say free trial, for example, but it’s not like getting over that pain point… sometimes it’s really easy to see that. You’ll look at a website and you can clearly see it’s not got conversions in the right places… yours is definitely in that category [of needing live monitoring first].”

“[Genevieve] We are rebranding Megaphone and our arm as SEO and GEO to Law Builders. Exactly the same people. We’re all here. But it does mean that our emails have changed over.”
