Ben Ornstein: Good how are you doing? Max Trautner: I’m in Houston About how about yourself here in LA? Ben Ornstein: No, I’m in random state of Delaware. Oh, nice. Max Trautner: Oh, yeah. Ben Ornstein: Um, well, you know, uh, great to connect from inside the chat. Um, I originally had said that, um, I was interested in the demo, but I got a lot of practice with Gatsby today, actually. Um, I was drafting different templates and, um, yeah, I mean, I think I figured it out, honestly. Um, which is great. So yeah, pretty, I mean, pretty Did they invest in you guys? Max Trautner: Well, that’s good to hear. Um, it’s not a lot of, some people have a steep learning curve with it. I mean, I think there is a steep learning curve with, you know, any new tool and ours is no different in that regard. And there’s a lot of little like hidden features and functionality all over the place. So, um, it’s good to hear that you found, found what you’re looking to do, but we were just doing the email part, the newsletter stuff. Ben Ornstein: So I was like, like, updating the templates and creating a new template within the… Yeah, for different emails. Sending out the test email, which was helpful, good to have that. I guess I’ve used so many different email platforms at this stage. I’ve done Beehive, Customer.io, like, setting up from the ground up. Beehive, Customer.io, MailChimp. I feel like there’s one more. It’s insane that you know, I guess I’m like now I mean, I know what I should be looking for Nice. Max Trautner: Yeah, ours is a lot more simpler than a lot of platforms. So That’s cool. That’s cool, man. Ben Ornstein: Yeah Um, yeah, I guess Yeah, I mean we we don’t need to stand for too long because I mean it was before today I was like, uh, I didn’t know what I was gonna be doing, but I’d be happy to see like like a demo of anything that maybe I should know that maybe wouldn’t be obvious. Maybe that’d be helpful to them. Max Trautner: Tell me, tell me a little bit about like what they have you doing and what their, what their goals are these days. So they’ve got like a monthly newsletter that they want done. Ben Ornstein: They also want another newsletter. I don’t know its frequency yet. I just got put onto the operations. I think I told you so. I’m still catching up a little bit. But yeah, I’ve got two separate newsletters. They wanted some one-off one to ask for like intros or something. So that was what I’ve drafted today, a much simpler one. And I haven’t actually sent a newsletter out yet. I haven’t added like a list of any people yet, like for the newsletter to be sent. But those are, that’s pretty much as much as much context as I have right now. Max Trautner: Let me walk you through some kind of standard newsletter flow stuff. Ben Ornstein: But this is helpful, for sure. OK, awesome. Max Trautner: I have more info than you wanted at some point. Ben Ornstein: It’s good to know, right? It’s like, here’s the functionality, and you’ve seen these buttons, but you’ve never really clicked them. And so it’s good. It’s good. It’s helpful. I appreciate it. Max Trautner: Yeah, let us know what you run into if you’re looking I mean, honestly, the campaign editor, it’s pretty bare bones. Ben Ornstein: Yeah, right now we’re doing pretty basic stuff, just still setting it up and finalizing the template. Ben Ornstein: Yes, I’ll transfer over all of the ones I have in templates and just move them to campaigns. Max Trautner: You can always save this and save these campaign emails or the stage campaigns or the templates and have a repeatable workflow for them. Ben Ornstein: Um, not transfer, I guess, like save the template as a campaign, even if I’m not sending it yet. Max Trautner: That’s a great, a great flow. Ben Ornstein: Yeah, I think that’s how I have it set up today, where it’s, I have everything on the templates. Ben Ornstein: Well, Mike, this was I’ve gotten a ton of information. The big thing was like, transferring the template to the, I was like, Okay, I have these templates, I’m not going to just keep updating the template each week. That’s not going to be the best process. But that was helpful. And getting to know the rest of the platform was great, too. So cool. Yeah, no, thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Yeah, anytime. Yeah, let us know how it goes. Ben Ornstein: Are you, you’re like the best point of contact if there are any live questions and issues? Max Trautner: Um, so we have our help at Gatsby.events. We’re all on that in case I’m sick or out of pocket or something like everybody’s on that. So, um, that’s probably the best email. Max Trautner: All right. Ben Ornstein: Well, thanks Max. I really appreciate it. Yeah, of course. Good to meet you. Max Trautner: Good to meet you too. Ben Ornstein: Take care.
