[Michael Houck]: hear you. Can you hear me? Yeah, I can’t hear you. Maybe something with your headphones. Looks like all audio settings you’re set up right on my side. Hello. [Michael Houck]: Hey Dipesh, there we go, man. [Michael Houck]: I’m good. [Dipesh]: I’m good. How are you? [Dipesh]: How’s Hawaii? [Dipesh]: What’s up? How is Hawaii? Are you in Hawaii? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [Michael Houck]: Oh, I was. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: No, now I’m, I’m not anymore, but I was, uh, yeah, it was nice. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Oh, Oh, okay. [Dipesh]: Beaches. Yeah. You like beaches and mountains, which Yeah, it was nice. [Michael Houck]: I was just there for a wedding. So, um, good to be back on a more normal time zone though. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yes. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [Dipesh]: Um, well, cool, man. Hey, good to meet. [Michael Houck]: Um, took a look at what you sent over to Blake. Uh, and, and it was good. I think we’re, we’re excited about it. So, um, yeah, I think crazy how I love, I guess I found that message from you on LinkedIn from forever ago. And here we are. [Dipesh]: Yeah, Ayush told me a while ago, I think. And I sent you that. Yeah, that’s true. I didn’t expect to receive a reply. I think I forgot. I also forgot about it. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: I mean, I never go through my LinkedIn connection. Request because there’s just so many in there but I had some free time so I went through them and I’m glad I did. [Dipesh]: Tell me what kind of capacity or work you’re looking at. The assignment was around management thing. Yeah. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: I mean, we have, we have, we have new clients coming in all the time, uh, in various niches. So I think generally what we like to do is we’ll bring somebody in and then we’ll just assign them a client. Uh, like when, like the next client sort of signs up. Um, and so one of the next, uh, clients like sometime this month, uh, to you and we’ll give it a shot and we’ll see how it goes. Um, and, And we’ll go from there, maybe someone for X, or we’ll see who signs up and what they’re looking for. But we’ll just roll with it. We’ll set up a Slack channel and all that. So I think today, I’ll probably invite you to our Slack. And then when a client signs up, I’ll just sort of run them by you and see if you think they’d be a fit. [Dipesh]: Okay. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay. [Dipesh]: Yeah, that sounds good. [Michael Houck]: about the process do you interview like in your in your agency do you interview clients or is it more of like it just goes right for them based on research and using their uh credibility for folks because the assignment was kind of I think research-based most mostly but yeah most of our clients are like you know pretty busy startup founders and vcs and people like that so our sort of part of our value prop that when I pitched to them is like, Hey, you know, we can, we can get to your voice without you needing to hop on a bunch of calls and do interviews with us. So if you want to do interviews with us, then that’s, that’s up to the client. They can totally say, Hey, we want to do that. That’s fine. But by default, what we do is we set up a Slack channel and then like every Monday you send over some post ideas and like specific questions. They would respond with like a, you know, three, four or five minute voice note. And we’d use that voice to get their sort of unique POV in the content. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [Dipesh]: So it’s, yeah, it’s, it’s easier for them then they don’t have to slot time for, yeah, for, for, for the interviews. But some, some of them still like the interviews though. [Michael Houck]: So, um, we do it for a few people. It just depends on, on their sort of, preference, I guess. [Dipesh]: Yeah. I don’t have an apartment or house or anything right now. [Michael Houck]: So basically since December, I’ve been traveling every couple of weeks to a new place, but I think that probably by the end I’ll probably have a more long-term spot. [Dipesh]: Nice, nice. You’ve been around a lot. [Dipesh]: Where have you been? [Michael Houck]: On these trips, I’ve been mostly in South America and then also in the southern part of the US. So I did Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and then Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina. And then Hawaii. [Dipesh]: South America trip, I think, everyone kind of, the Americans I’ve talked to, they’ve all been to South America once, go trekking. Yeah, I’ve been to South America before. It’s nice down there. [Michael Houck]: Brazil in particular, I really like, and Chile is really good for wine and things like that. I don’t know if you like wine. I try to see different wine regions all over the world, so Chile, especially a little bit south of Santiago, is one of my favorites. Okay. [Dipesh]: Yeah, I do only drink wine, so research about it, check it out. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah, that’s good, man. [Dipesh]: I can send over some racks if you’d like, [Michael Houck]: So cool, man. Just so I know, any preferences on your side in terms of sectors and niches that you prefer to work with clients in? [Dipesh]: I’d say not as such. I mean, most of it is research. So I’m happy to work with most industries. I’d say more leaning towards tech and AI maybe because also, but I’m open to kind of product management, startups in general, entrepreneurship, that stuff. Yeah. Cool. All right. Sounds good. [Michael Houck]: We have a bunch of folks interested in AI stuff who are coming to us these days. Yeah. [Dipesh]: Yeah. I don’t think there’s anything else. [Michael Houck]: No, I mean, normally I just like to, I just like to meet everybody. So, uh, that’s, that’s not it. That is nice. [Dipesh]: That’s nice. [Michael Houck]: So basically what we’ll, what we’ll do then is once we have a client who we both think would be a good fit, um, you and I’ll hop on a kickoff call with them and Also to give you LDR and how we like to run those kickoff calls when the time comes yeah, and then And then we’ll just go from there with a with a client and sort of Blake will be the person you’re working with He’s like our editor-in-chief Basically, so anything you’re writing send the Blake for review before we send to the client and then if you’re ever with a client and like, you know, there’s some issue or the clients not responsive or or Um, you know anything like that or they’re being like overly nitpicky and things like that That’s when you leave me in and I’ll be the bad guy Yeah, okay, he’s the editor and you You come in to put out And things get get too too out of control not Yeah, okay. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay I’m the firefighter. [Michael Houck]: I have a lot of trust in me. [Michael Houck]: So just let me in and I can, I can sort of navigate that for us. [Dipesh]: Okay. Okay. Got it. I think got the gist of it. Um, I’ll reach out, I’ll add you to our Slack today and then, um, I’ll reach out soon. [Michael Houck]: We have a client come in who I think could be a good fit. Maybe we’ll start with an AI client. Um, and, uh, And we’ll roll from there. [Dipesh]: Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Sounds good. Sounds good. Any other questions? No, no, I don’t think any questions regarding the process interviews. I’m lost. Okay. I think, yeah, that’s mostly sort of kickoff call. I think would getting in the process of getting on a call. So no other questions. [Michael Houck]: Cool. Well, sounds good, man. I’m pumped to work with the team. [Dipesh]: Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Have you talked to Ayush before? [Michael Houck]: We’ve talked through Megaphone a bunch and that’s pretty much how we know each other. I’ll add you to Slack in a bit and then we’ll roll from there, but good to meet and excited for partnering up on other clients. [Dipesh]: Good to meet you and same same, excited. Thank you, good to meet you, bye.
