[UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: you It’s not something that happens. [Amulya Parmar]: Hey, Max, how are you? [Max Palmer]: I’m good, man. How are you? [Amulya Parmar]: I’m blessed. I’m blessed. I was on my way to the bank and I just didn’t want to miss this meeting. [Max Palmer]: Can you hear me? [Amulya Parmar]: Can you hear me now? [Max Palmer]: Shoot, you’re frozen. [Amulya Parmar]: Is it better now? [Max Palmer]: Yeah. Yeah. It might be better if you go off camera. [Amulya Parmar]: Yeah. Yeah. How are you, Max? Okay. It looks like I’m good. [Max Palmer]: It looks like I’m freezing too on my end, but can you hear me? [Amulya Parmar]: No, I can hear you loud and clear, mate. How are you? [Max Palmer]: Okay. Perfect. Awesome. So I’m Houck’s chief of staff. So I help him with most of these, these megaphone calls. So I’d love to start just hearing a bit about you, how you heard about us and why You’re interested in megaphone. [Amulya Parmar]: Oh 100% So Real quick. I think megaphone just seems super cool. I saw about it when I was just recently listening to the founders Network Podcast which maybe is the reason where you get a lot of these calls Maybe that’s where you’ve been guarding go get a lot of call from that one mention on that podcast. It’s crazy actually Yeah, that’s crazy What do you probably got a lot if I’m the only person who did this? But no, I thought it was super cool. It made a lot of sense for me. I tried to do a lot of things in a very unique space. One is like a less tapped space, which is probably management. One of it is others more top than like, you know, one is more tapped, which is career development and tech and startup and entrepreneurship and conversion optimization. But I’m a builder. I like moving friction. I got a chance to be a part of a few kind of accelerator kind of experiences. I’ve been really fundraised the way I want to. And over the years, got a chance to do a lot of really unique things like KB Fellows, Lime Scholars. I created a program called Creator App that got featured by Google. So lots of unique experiences, but I think it’s time It’s now time for me to grow. I’m about to graduate. And so it’s like a mix of a lot of these four elements. [Max Palmer]: Awesome. And so are you looking to grow your personal account? [Amulya Parmar]: Yes, that’s my primary focus. [Max Palmer]: Okay, great. And are you looking to do this on Twitter or LinkedIn? [Amulya Parmar]: A combination of both. [Max Palmer]: Okay. Awesome. And do you understand how Megaphone works or do you want me to explain? [Amulya Parmar]: No, I think I understand it, but you can go ahead and explain it to the best of your ability. [Max Palmer]: Okay. So Megaphone is a creator engagement marketplace. We have users like yourself. [Amulya Parmar]: Can you still hear me, Max? [Amulya Parmar]: Hello? [Max Palmer]: you Sorry, I think I lost you. Can you hear me? [Amulya Parmar]: Yeah, yeah, I can hear you. I can hear you. [Max Palmer]: Great. [Amulya Parmar]: Can you hear me? [Max Palmer]: Say that again? Can you hear me? Yes. [Amulya Parmar]: Amazing. [Max Palmer]: Cool. My computer’s kind of being weird right now, but okay. So it’s a creator engagement marketplace. I’m not sure where you lost me, so. [Amulya Parmar]: Well, yeah, I heard that part. [Max Palmer]: Okay. So yeah. [Amulya Parmar]: You can basically, you get charged by the number of creators that engage within the first hour. I’m curious to understand which brand, like how do you select which creators and you say, I want this type of creator to engage with you. I’m just curious on that type of engagement. In particular? [Max Palmer]: Yeah, so you won’t get to choose which creators engage with you. So when you onboard onto Megaphone, you’ll pick different categories that you want creators to engage with you. So whether it’s personal development, career, business, startup, founders, we have a variety of different categories and you’ll pick a few of them. And then creators within those categories will then be will then engage with you when you post content and submit that post onto Megaphone. Those creators will then, we’ll send your post to creators based on three criteria. So first and foremost, they’re in your niche, like I just mentioned. Second, they’re online at the time you’re posting. And then third, we’re gonna allocate your budget most optimally. So for every single post you submit to Megaphone, you’re gonna allocate a budget towards that. On average, people are spending about $30 per post, but it's entirely up to you. And then our software will allocate that budget to different creators. And those creators will have the option to engage with your post. If they engage with your post within an hour of us sending it to them, then they'll get paid. And the creators, they set their own prices. So typically, creators will raise their prices by an additional $10 every 100,000 followers they have. [Max Palmer]: So we have a creator with 370,000 followers, for example, and they charge $35 for an engagement. [Amulya Parmar]: That makes sense to me, Max. I was just gonna ask you about in terms of pricing, how does that work? In terms of let's say, is it just the creator fees? [Max Palmer]: So there's the creator fees, which I just explained, and then there's the subscription to use the platform. So there's two, two subscription tiers. It's either $49 month or month. $89 The only difference between the two is with the $89 a month plan, your posts will get sent to the creators as soon as you send them to us. Whereas with the $49 a month plan, your posts will be delayed an hour until we send them to creators. [Amulya Parmar]: Well, why would you delay an hour? It seems like the $89 month plan is the one that like makes way more sense. [Max Palmer]: Yeah. Yeah. So instant engagement is really important for these platforms. Right. [Amulya Parmar]: So, so basically like, but isn’t then the $89 per month option the best option? [Max Palmer]: Yes. [Amulya Parmar]: Yeah. I like that option. [Max Palmer]: Yeah. [Amulya Parmar]: And then what the is it possible to change categories? [Max Palmer]: You can change your categories. Yeah, that's possible. [Amulya Parmar]: OK. And then last question here that's on my side, which is, when are people, which, I mean, I saw some of the website, some categories. But could you ask you, when is it like, who have been very successful with the app? Can you speak to also maybe right now who's been less successful? Like just a really good idea for me to have a good bar. [Max Palmer]: Yeah, I mean, I don't have the exacts on like who's been most successful and not, but I can tell you we have a ton of creators in the spaces that you mentioned. So like personal development, we have over 50 creators in that niche. You know, the career niche we have creators in, the growth niche, the the productivity niche, startups like tech, we have a ton of creators in the in these niches that you had mentioned. So we definitely have niche alignment and creator alignment, creator coverage for you. And then you know, part of it is you have to still post good content, right? So we're providing amplification. But if if you're pot content is poor, then it's not going to perform well regardless of if there's amplification. [Amulya Parmar]: Got it. And when it comes to $30 post, is that typically like, how many creators is that typically in terms of engagement? It entirely depends. [Max Palmer]: But I’d say typically like three to five creators. [Amulya Parmar]: Got it. That’s great context. All right. So how do I get started? [Max Palmer]: Yeah, you can just sign up right on the site. It’s super easy onboarding. Yeah, there’s not much to it, just write on megaphone.network. [Amulya Parmar]: Okay, and I think that’s what I’ll do. Max, it’s been super helpful. If there’s anything else, I’ll go ahead and reach out to you, but I think that’s what I’ll give you a shot. [Max Palmer]: Perfect, just shoot us an email. [Amulya Parmar]: Okay, perfect. Thank you so much. All right, have a great weekend. You too. Bye, Max. [Max Palmer]: All right, bye-bye. [Amulya Parmar]: Sure.
