[Michael Houck]: Good. Good to meet you. Um, so thanks for having some time. Uh, we want to chat about ghostwriting. So I guess give me some context sort of on you, where you’re at, what your goals are for ghostwriting, all that kind of stuff. [Praveen Panjiar]: Okay. Precisely. We have a newsletter that is, uh, that is on behalf. Okay. [Praveen Panjiar]: and there we are targeting the catering to startups and startups and VCs with focus on latest AI technologies and all. So somewhere we are looking for increasing our subscriber, so some paid subscribers what we are looking at. So So can you help us in this way? [Michael Houck]: Okay, got it. So this would be for the newsletter. We’d be taking over the writing for the newsletter. Right. Okay. Got it. Oh yeah. And so if we’re taking over the writing, it frees you up to focus on the subscriber growth and all that. [Praveen Panjiar]: Right, right, right. We are doing the writing part. We are taking care of content curations and all, and we are looking for increasing the subscribers. [Michael Houck]: Okay, got it. So just to be 100% sure, you’re looking for us to come in and take over the writing of the newsletter so you can focus on subscriber growth or are you looking for us to do subscriber growth? [Praveen Panjiar]: We are looking for you to take care of our subscriber growth. [Michael Houck]: Got it. Okay. So this call, the link you booked through is for our ghostwriting offer. So we would take over the writing of the newsletter for you. So that’s why I was a little confused. Okay. We do help with growth as well, though. And we could talk about that if you’d like, [Praveen Panjiar]: OK. [Michael Houck]: Yeah? OK. So basically, there’s a few different channels that we could use. The main three channels for newsletters are social media ads, referral networks, and cold email. Not a lot of people know about or use cold email. But it’s actually a really effective channel because you’re already getting into people’s inboxes. So we offer help with the first one and the third one. So we can help with paid ads and we can help with cold email. On the ad front, what we would do is we would just set up some proven creative styles that we know work and have worked for us before. And we would use Facebook and Instagram primarily to drive traffic. CPAs will vary there usually starts out somewhere around the $3 range But then we'll go down to probably a goal would be under $2 And then We would just scale up those campaigns over time and that that’d be depending on you and your budget for first of all those campaigns On the cold email side You can typically get subscribers for a little bit cheaper. So normally in like the 150 per subscriber range. And what we do there is we build a big lead list, and we start emailing them with new domains and new inboxes that are warmed up. And then if they engage with the emails in some way, we would then add them into Beehive. So that’s sort of the breakdown of the two different channels that we could work on. [Praveen Panjiar]: Sorry, what’s that? So there’s those two channels, right? There’s paid ads and cold email. We can help with either one. [Michael Houck]: You generally able to get subscribers for a little bit cheaper through cold email. And we would just monitor those campaigns and then add people to the list from there. So I guess my question to you would be like, what is your budget for growth right now? And that can help me understand which channel might be the best fit. [Praveen Panjiar]: I think, precisely, you suggested how to go about it, because we are new to this. We have just launched our newsletter, and we have got some subscriber through the newsletter. So you suggest that what kind of services we should go ahead with? [Michael Houck]: Yeah, sure. But it’s helpful for me to know your budget so that I can understand like if it makes sense for us to… [Praveen Panjiar]: We can spend around 2000 per month. So we can But by starting this kind of budget. [Michael Houck]: Praveen, I think you froze. [Michael Houck]: You’re back. You just froze. I unfortunately didn’t get it. At any of that. [Praveen Panjiar]: Sorry, there is some cracking. Yes. [Michael Houck]: No, you froze entirely. I didn’t hear anything you said. [Praveen Panjiar]: Actually, we start with $2,000 per month. But I need to understand how many subscribers we will get if we start with that kind of budget. And you can suggest that what would be the, say, Yeah, sure. [Michael Houck]: So what I... Sorry, what's that? Yeah. [Praveen Panjiar]: So at that budget level, you could get subscribers via cold email for about 150 subscriber. [Michael Houck]: If we were to go through your paid ads instead, you'd probably see higher than that, is my guess. And so I think in this case, cold email would be the right approach. And so what we could do is we could say, OK, here's the amount of subscribers that you want to add each month, assuming each one is roughly 150. And then we would be able to go out and set up those campaigns and manage them and add them into B2B for you. [Praveen Panjiar]: Is it $150? That is what or 1.5? No, Right, right, right. So for example, yeah. What is that math? [Michael Houck]: That’s like roughly 1300 subscribers per month at a 2000 budget level. [Praveen Panjiar]: That’s a good one. [Michael Houck]: So also, Yeah, so next steps are pretty simple. I’ll send you an email later today, just confirming about. And then we probably set up a shared Slack channel. And we could get started getting some domains together. Note that there’s a there’s a two week period at the beginning where we need to warm up the domains and collect the leads and stuff. So we’ll get started. That as soon as we’re ready to go. But then, then we’d start the campaigns and go from there. [Praveen Panjiar]: Okay. Okay. So please send across your mail. Let me go through it. And secondly, do you accept Stripe payment or PayPal? [Michael Houck]: Yes, Stripe. Stripe’s great. Stripe is our preferred. That’s where we have all of our revenue coming through. [Praveen Panjiar]: Okay. And what about PayPal? [Michael Houck]: We don’t have a PayPal site. Set up right now, unfortunately. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay. [Praveen Panjiar]: Okay. Not an issue. So I’m just expecting a mail from you. Just let me go through it and then we’ll review them. [Michael Houck]: Okay. Great. Praveen, great to meet. I’m excited to work together and help you guys scale. If you want to send over in reply, like the link to the newsletter and anything else that we should know and look for in terms of who the leads are. [Praveen Panjiar]: We will definitely. Yeah, we will definitely. Thanks for your time. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Thanks. Bye. [Michael Houck]: Talk soon. Bye.
