Michael flagged that Rafael left multiple resources Proxied (orange-cloud in Cloudflare) when migrating them to Cloudflare. This is causing issues. Michael’s messages:
“You left a ton of things Proxied when you moved them to Cloudflare. Why? This is causing big issues” “Please make sure we don’t do this, especially for FJ” “And LMK why we did it”
FJ = Founding Journey (foundingjourney.com / Hard Calls media property).
Rule
When migrating DNS records to Cloudflare, do NOT leave records on the orange-cloud (proxied) setting unless explicitly required and tested. This applies especially to FJ/Hard Calls infrastructure, which appears to be particularly affected.
Open Questions
- Rafael has not yet replied with the reason for the proxied state (Michael asked).
- It is unclear which specific records are proxied and whether they have been fixed.
- Follow up to confirm resolution.
