Houck did a client call with Fasset (Raafi and Zarah). Call went well, they are onboard with Megaphone updates. Previously there was concern they might churn.
Key points
- They are announcing a giant Series C just a few months after their Series B. They are handling the launch post themselves.
- They have budget to spend.
- Raafi is based in Dubai, travels constantly, and is very busy.
- They want more build-in-public content, Tyler Denk model. Zarah liked that idea but it depends on getting more inputs from them.
- They said not to schedule anything for Monday or Wednesday next week because they have announcement posts planned.
- They want Raafi to be bigger than Fasset, see him as a future billionaire. He has a lot of eyes on him in the middle east (sovereign wealth funds, etc). They want to establish his ethos and persona beyond the company.
Raafi profile update needed
Blake S needs to update Raafi’s X profile before Monday (Aug 25). Blake S made edits (screenshot in thread), but Houck said do not remove “Mohammad”, it should stay as “Mohammad Raafi Hossain” or similar (he is referenced that way everywhere).
Houck suggested adding something about how much they have raised or mention Series B in the bio.
Jolt interest
Fasset is interested in Jolt. Raafi has 80K Instagram followers (wish those translated to X). They see him as motivational/educational founder content. Tatem thinks he could pump out 90 vids/month like Ben G, divided between: (1) answering questions, teaching philosophies, (2) traveling/lifestyle, (3) work ethic/motivational text overlays, intertwined with Fasset as needed.
Zarah will have influence on tone and substance (she reviews everything for Raafi). She will want posts to have substance, “He’s a tech founder with strong advocacy.” Not sleazy guru stuff.
Tatem wants a call to understand what they are thinking. Houck will set up a call next week and add Tatem.
Account status
- Fasset = active Megaphone client (Lore for SEO, Megaphone for ghostwriting X/LinkedIn)
- Previously thought we might lose them (performance has been poor)
- Blake E replaced David as account lead, which they liked
- Next few months: make it happen or they leave
- Not scheduling Mon/Wed next week due to their own announcement posts
