Scope: rye-valley - This is a Rye Valley/JOLT! delivery decision; the consequence falls on Rye Valley.

- Status: decided
Decision
Film the initial version of the TikTok OS course at Adam’s home using a phone camera and ring light rather than renting a production studio. JOLT! will buy a simple light if Adam needs one.
Context
Adam started recording at a rented studio (~$115/hour). After the weekend session raised concerns about cost scaling (many modules still to record), Michael pushed for a home-filming alternative to avoid significant spend before the course generates revenue.
Options considered
- Continue studio rental (~$115/hr, possible full-day discount): good production quality, but expensive before revenue comes in.
- Film at home with phone + ring light: lower quality ceiling, but adequate for an MVP; allows iteration later. Adam may also call in a favor from videographer friends for better equipment.
- Switch to bullet-point scripts so Adam can riff (not chosen for filming setup but raised as a separate script format option - left undecided for now).
Consequences
- Adam owns the setup this week. May ask Michael for input on backgrounds.
- If the home setup proves unworkable, can revisit studio for specific modules later without committing to it upfront.
- Individual videos can be re-recorded later if quality needs to improve; they don’t need to match forever.
- JOLT! will cover the cost of a ring light if needed.
