Decision
Build the LP version (“Hard Calls Newsletter LP.html”) as the /newsletter route on the Hard Calls site. Keep it simple for now.
Context
Two competing designs existed for the Hard Calls newsletter page: (1) a newsletter page intended for site navigation, and (2) a landing page (LP) optimized for ad traffic. HC-94 was tracking this design decision.
Options Considered
- Build the site-nav newsletter page: Tailored for users browsing the site, different design and copy.
- Build the LP version at /newsletter: Optimized for paid ad traffic, simpler implementation. Chosen.
Consequences
- Rafael and Mehul implement “Hard Calls Newsletter LP.html” as the /newsletter route.
- Design kept simple for now; can revisit a dedicated site-nav version later if needed.
- HC-94 ticket resolved.
