[Michael Houck]: Hmm. Thank you. What’s up? Hey. Um, no. So just wanted to, just want to run through some of the logistics with somebody else in here. Um, okay. So it looks like the default is that we will have to approve people to join as they come in, which is good for the beginning so we can make sure we’re set up and everything. But, uh, I will be doing that early on, but if people joined late, can you handle that? [Blake Stewart]: Do I have permission to do that? Oh, right. [Michael Houck]: Let me make sure I make you a host. How do I do this? Can I only make one host or can I add you as a host? You know you should be able to add me. It says make host. I’m going to click that now. [Blake Stewart]: No, it says the meeting host. [Michael Houck]: No, I don’t want to make you. I don’t want to change the host right there. Another through like an admin. There’s not. But there is maybe. Host tools OK. Allow participants to, I guess I’m going to have to do it unless I make you the host. I don’t know how to do multiple hosts. That’s fine. I can do it. Blake will be the one talking most of the time anyway, so it’s no big deal. Okay. Um, um, you can just manage the chat basically. Um, um, okay. I think, yeah, I guess my read AI will be in here as our recorder to keep that simple, cause we know that works. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. Is that going to get a full recording or do you want to use the zoom recording as well? How do you use the zoom recording? [Michael Houck]: Uh, down there at the bottom, click more. Okay. And record should be at the top. Oh, yep. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Um, okay. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: So that’s recording now. [Michael Houck]: Yeah. Let’s do, both just to be safe. So I’m making notes for me. Manage requests to join. Make sure to record. And in terms of permissions, I’m not going to allow participants to unmute themselves once we get started. Allow unmute once started. They can chat, they can rename themselves, they can turn their video on. They can’t record. Okay. [Blake Stewart]: Now, how do we change backgrounds? [Michael Houck]: You wanna do that in Zoom? [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, go to the video, bottom left, click up. [Michael Houck]: just background video set oh just background there it is okay I’m gonna make a to-do list to save the chat at the end of the webinar too but if yeah good idea oh here’s how I add image okay so even though it’s the right way in the image it will appear to me the wrong way but to you the right way correct yeah if you want to test it Yeah, let’s test it now. Yeah, so I read that fine. OK. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. Cool, alright. That works. [Michael Houck]: What else we need to? Do we need to test here? So people can’t unmute themselves. [Blake Stewart]: That’s fine that we could just tell him to drop. Questions in the chat. Really want to do something they could raise their hand. [Michael Houck]: Yep. [Blake Stewart]: So like polls once again, like if you want a list of questions, just have people drop in the chat. They could do that or. I don’t know if we could set up actual polls here. Probably not. [Michael Houck]: No, I think it’s actually better to not use real polls and to just ask people to comment in the chat. Shifts more energy. Yeah. [Blake Stewart]: I think another question I had was like, what do you need the most help with? Or like, what are you struggling the most with? And you can tell people like, is it, you know, creating the content? Is it the, you know, engage in commoning DMs or is it just, you know, the time in general? Cause you can put as many hours as you want into this. [Michael Houck]: Okay. So wait, so what are the options here? Is it a content creation? [Blake Stewart]: Yeah. Question is what do you need the most help with? And you could be like, you know, some examples are content creation. Is it just the time management of doing it every day? Is it the direct engagement by commenting and DMing people? [Michael Houck]: Three ideas would be finding the time to create content, getting results from content, or generating off-platform leads, right? Are those Do you think that’s enough? [Blake Stewart]: That might be taking it a step too far with the leads. I think it’s just more about like using LinkedIn. So just like direct LinkedIn. Task. [Michael Houck]: OK, I mean, we framed we framed a lot of it around like this takes you sort of that one that one step for like we have the framework and everything, so I don’t feel like it’s like, [Blake Stewart]: Yeah. Yeah, I mean, that’s fine. We’ll see what people say. And then, yeah, I guess we got 23 minutes. Other thing is just bringing the hype. Make sure you and Blake are coming in energized, excited, good vibes. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I gotta go, I gotta go, I don’t know, drink a Red Bull or something. [Blake Stewart]: Get some espresso or something. [Michael Houck]: Cortada shot. [Blake Stewart]: Okay, so you’ve got, be letting people in. Any any hype man tips? [Michael Houck]: I’m a I can bring the energy but I I struggle with being overly salesy like I struggle like letting myself be overly salesy and so I’m just like what what should I do? That’s not too good. [Blake Stewart]: It doesn’t look like we could get any background music. I’m just like some we have a song of choice because I can just play something on my laptop. Do you want to try that? It could be anything, you know, for the first couple of minutes as people come in. And then just like boosting the chat in the first couple of minutes. Are you playing? [Blake Stewart]: I can’t hear it. [Michael Houck]: You can’t hear anything right now? Okay, let me raise it. No Can’t hear it at all. [Blake Stewart]: No, I think your mics probably blocking it Apps music music player You could try one of those apps to go to the apps button on the bottom, okay, I Mean this isn’t too necessary either but no it could be fun though. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, definitely elevates the room can I pick a song you should be able to oh collection of my favorite songs I have to find songs but how do I find the songs the other ones are all just like weird playlists just Let’s see we got. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Or something. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Can you hear me? [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I can hear both. You can hear both. I can’t hear music at all. A little bit. But how? My volume’s all the way up on my… [Blake Stewart]: Is there a switch in the app? Whatever you just got? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: I also think it’s a fine volume. [Blake Stewart]: Like, yeah, there you go. That’s good. Like, this made you really quiet for me. [Michael Houck]: Like, I can’t hear you that well. You’re, like, very low now. And so is the music, actually. It’s all the way up. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: OK. [Blake Stewart]: I think it’s fine. I mean, you don’t want to be. It’s just background music, you know, like you’re not going to be talking too much. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I mean, you’re like, I think the problem, though, is that like now my audio settings are fucked up, so I don’t want to turn this on in the real meeting and like then not be able to hear anything for the next hour, you know? [Blake Stewart]: Well, I think you’d only want to play it for the first couple of minutes as people are coming in. [Michael Houck]: No, I I know, but what I mean is that like I can’t hear you very well right now, even though the music is off. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Weird, OK. [Michael Houck]: Oh wait, OK, I figured it out. [Michael Houck]: Let me try that again. Let me make sure it can work. Let’s do the same thing. OK, so you can hear this. Can you hear it now? Yeah. How is the volume like this compared to my voice? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: About equal. [Blake Stewart]: You’re a little louder. So, like, can you hear me effectively? Yeah. Yeah, this is good. I think the first couple of minutes you just do this, wait for people to come in. You can just ask a question like, excited to, you know, run this event today. Go ahead and drop your name in the chat. [Michael Houck]: Oh, yeah, that’s a good first thing. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah, just like your name. [Michael Houck]: And maybe their LinkedIn URL so people can navigate. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, you can go ahead and mention that and be like, we’re gonna be doing a live LinkedIn audit later. Go ahead and drop your LinkedIn now. You guys can connect with each other if you want. Check out who else is in here. We got some, you know, high-level founders. A couple of these people already have 2,000 followers. Where are you calling from Drop your startup. Yeah, I mean the first five minutes Just keep directing people back to the chat. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yep. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay, sounds good. [Michael Houck]: And then I’ll turn it over, then I’ll do the intro, turn it over to Blake. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, and cut the music at that time. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, yeah, of course. Just keep it rolling throughout the whole thing. Let’s fucking go. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Cool, okay, that feels good. [Michael Houck]: Okay, and then at the end, I mean, I don’t think we need to do anything special at the end. Do I need to stop the record? [Blake Stewart]: I guess I’ll stop the recording at the very end and then cut it after that. You might not need to either. [Michael Houck]: It stops when you end it, so up to you. Okay. All right. [Blake Stewart]: What else we got? [Michael Houck]: I think that’s all the settings that we need. Sharing screen. Oh wait, you know what? We should figure out the host thing so that Blake can be controlling the screen share, not me. So like, let’s see, let me ask Grok. How do I make multiple people the host of a Zoom? And this is the same Zoom link for? [Blake Stewart]: No, this is different. This is my like personal meeting room link. [Michael Houck]: This isn’t the, because I’ve had issues before where if you accidentally open and then start the meeting for an event. It rocks the whole thing up. And then if you change it on Luma, it’s already on people’s calendars with the wrong link. And then they go to the wrong place. That’s good. Glad you. I’ve already gone down that road. Okay. Designate alternate. Oh, zoom. There can only be one primary host for meeting, but you can assign multiple co-hosts. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay. [Michael Houck]: Let’s see. Co-host can match participants. Okay. In the meeting toolbar. Hover over the name and then click more. Make co-host. No, it doesn’t, that doesn’t show up for me. It just says make host. Okay. [Blake Stewart]: Um, co-host feature must be enabled. [Michael Houck]: Okay. Let’s go to settings and then what exactly settings meeting in meeting zoom is set up really badly. I don’t know if you’ve ever like played around with their settings. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: No. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [Blake Stewart]: I don’t even see. [Michael Houck]: I really don’t like Zoom. Okay. Where is this? Settings. Meeting. That doesn’t exist. Oh, man. I might need to make, if I make Blake the host and I’m recording, does it cancel the recording? [Blake Stewart]: No, it shouldn’t because there’s also, I could request to record as well. So maybe I’ll just do that at the beginning. Beginning from you. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: Do you want to do that right now? [Blake Stewart]: See if it works. [Blake Stewart]: Did you get that? [Michael Houck]: I did. And then I’m going to approve it. [Blake Stewart]: Does it now show recording in the top right corner for you? Yep. [Michael Houck]: Did show up before or no. It did before, but okay. So basically at the very beginning, I need to approve one of you guys, probably you to record. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: just to be safe, just to be safe. Yep. Um, and then I guess I’ll make Blake the host so he can manage screen sharing, but I don’t, I don’t want to put all the ops sort of responsibility on him either. Um, you gotta be co-host. Yeah. [Blake Stewart]: There’s gotta be an easy way to do this. [Michael Houck]: Can you like also like, I guess, Google this or chat GPT or something? Cause it’s not, It’s not showing up right for me. [Blake Stewart]: What type of meeting is this? Is this also a webinar or is the type of meeting an issue? [Michael Houck]: It’s just a normal meeting. Room management? No, that’s not it. Account management, maybe that’s it. Then what? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Account management, account settings, meeting tab. [Blake Stewart]: What does all this mean? Meeting tab, meeting basics. Oh, here we go. I found it. [Michael Houck]: The setting will be on for all groups and users. I can’t believe that this isn’t enabled by default. Okay. Where was it? It was in account management and then account settings and then in meeting comma or parentheses basic and I had to search for co-host to find it. [Blake Stewart]: That’s ridiculous. [Michael Houck]: Okay. And you will be able to save the chat because by default everyone can. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. [Michael Houck]: Okay, we should be, we should be good. Okay. Yeah, okay, I’m gonna go add the screenshots to the NotionDoc in case they’re not already, but I think we’re set now. So my task will be to make, make both of you guys co-hosts and then you should just request to record just to be okay. I’ll request a chord. [Blake Stewart]: You’ll make us co-host. I could let people in. You got music. Bring in the hype. Yeah. [Blake Stewart]: Questions in the chat. [Blake Stewart]: Comments in the chat. [Michael Houck]: Let’s jump on the call in like I don’t know seven minutes like
