[Michael Houck]: I’m pretty good. We had a, we had a client turn this morning, so I woke up annoyed, but it’s gotten better since then. Okay. Yeah. [Blake Stewart]: That’s not how you want to start a Monday. No, never, never. [Michael Houck]: We honestly had a rough like two weeks. We had like, you know, we went like two months without anyone turning and then we you know, little, little deluge. So, uh, they give, do you do like an exit survey or any reason why? [Blake Stewart]: Yeah. [Michael Houck]: I, sometimes I hop on a call with them. Um, I usually just know though, you know, like it’s actually just been mostly bad luck. Um, which I hate to say, cause you want it to be more actionable. But like, for example, the one guy is starting a new business and needs to put all his capital into that. The other company, had their launch go really badly, and there’s no traction on their product. So they need to, you know, not spend on growing a product that people don’t want. The other one, their email list, we’re doing a newsletter for them, and their email list has like 5% open rates, because it’s super unengaged, and they don’t have budget to both grow it and write it. So, you know, just not a lot we could do in most of these which makes it tough. But the one takeaway that is kind of true about all of them, with the exception of the guy who’s just like starting a new business, although maybe it can apply to him too in a way, is that the underlying products or services that these people are selling just aren’t independently like doing great. And so the takeaway for us is basically just like get better customers, you know, get more successful. Customers prioritize those. So the Drupal expansion mitigates a lot of the impact of this. But there’s one or two more clients that I’m worried about. And so we definitely need to see some of these meetings start converting into paying clients. And I had another good call this morning. At least one or two convert this week. [Blake Stewart]: Cool. Oh, sorry. Go for it. No, go ahead, man. I was just going to say you have a couple more meetings that came through today as well. [Michael Houck]: I keep seeing them, man. Whatever you’re doing is definitely working. I have another call this afternoon, so two today. I have three tomorrow, one on Wednesday, two on Thursday, two on Friday. Obviously, we want to get that to as many as we can per day, but it’s definitely a steady stream. So if we’re even converting, I think 20% is a fair estimate for outbound, maybe even a little bit low, hopefully. But if we’re converting even around 20% of these, we’ll replenish these folks who’ve left pretty quickly. But if we do more than that, obviously, we’ll continue the growth rate we want. And that’s not even counting me like reaching out to folks, which is a top priority this week. It’s like, especially on the VC side, like trying to get as many folks there as possible. [Ben Ornstein]: Who turned this morning? [Ben Ornstein]: Preston. On everything? [Michael Houck]: He wants us to keep doing the newsletter growth, which is why we’re going to bring it in house. And so that’s something we’ll talk about in this call. But I think they’re having trouble fundraising is my guess. Because he was like, we need to save money right now. And you know, he is literally a billionaire. So if he needs to save money, I think it’s probably related to the company finances. Tristan’s a billionaire? His dad is a billionaire. [Ben Ornstein]: Yeah. Oh, wow. Interesting. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay. [Ben Ornstein]: Yeah, that’s crazy. [Michael Houck]: I just don’t think they’ve seen enough traction with their strategy of getting people to invest in these creators. My guess is that they won’t be able to raise another venture round and they’ll have to convert to being a fund. I think when you convert to a fund, Obviously your cash flow is sort of deferred. And so he’s thinking about being more strategic there and just focusing on growth which is fair. So I’m working with him on timeline, and I haven’t flagged it to Jacob yet, but yeah, that’ll be that’ll be changing sometime this month. Yeah, that’s unfortunate. Okay, how are you guys? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: How was your weekend? [Ben Ornstein]: Good Fiancee had her graduation yesterday for she got her master’s of education. So She’s officially done with that which is exciting and time to educate Yeah, yeah Basically, she’s in like higher education administration. So she’s not a teacher but Yeah, same thing That’s cool. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Congrats to her. Yeah. Thank you. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: That’s huge. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: You do anything fun, Blake? [Michael Houck]: Spend some time on the beach, playing some volleyball. [Blake Stewart]: First time in a while, my body’s still sore. Three or four days after, so I won’t do that. But yeah, my wife’s actually at her brother’s graduation med school up in Pennsylvania. So she’s hanging out with my dogs. Pennsylvania is a good spot. [Michael Houck]: That’s where I am right now, too, actually. [Blake Stewart]: Nice, OK. Yeah, they’re moving to Hershey, Pennsylvania, for his residency. [Michael Houck]: That’s cool. One of my early memories is walking around Hershey Park, actually. Yeah, it’s just a lot of chocolate, you know? Yeah. We got some roller coasters, lots of chocolate. It is. Anyway, let’s dive in. So I think since we’re talking about these clients, there’s something on the studio side that I want to bring up. So Ben, I think I flagged this to you a little earlier. But basically, Blake, I think you know this, but we have a partner who we work with for a lot of like the growth for our newsletters. Matt, you know Matt, right? Yep. Right. So Matt has been, I mean, just candidly between us, like fairly challenging to work with and fairly, let’s call it extractative rather than partner focused. And so I’m just sort of, I’m bearish on just like continuing that partnership. And so. I’ve heard you say that about three times now. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: I know, I know, I know, I know. [Michael Houck]: It keeps, I keep being like, well, you know, what can I really do about it? Just A, not send him new clients, sure. But I keep kind of checking to see if he’s got anyone he’s going to send us. And the answer is he either doesn’t respond or says no. So we have a couple of clients right now who we do this growth thing with him. But since we now have our unlimited thing for TweetScrape or TweetScraper, whatever one we end up using, we can effectively do the same thing that he does, not quite as sophisticated. He gets, like, you know, I think, more data points, and therefore can pinpoint folks a little bit better than we’d be able to. But my hypothesis is that the difference is pretty small. And so if we can save that money, instead of just paying him out, like the huge chunk of what those people are paying for growth, and us taking a commission on it, basically, we can bring that in house, prefer to do so. Obviously we need to be sensitive so that he doesn’t try to do the same thing With like the newsletters that he’s referred to us, right? So not a great dynamic But I think that with the clients who are churning with Preston and The off-label slash advanced genie newsletter eventually is going to keep going but they’re canceling off-label Those two and then also been with your newsletter the draw And with max’s newsletter, uh nutmeg soccer, we can probably bring those in-house and test out. Um Uh, basically doing this side of things, um, so One thing and we don’t I don’t want to do this right now, but like an action item I think um for those four Will be like brainstorming you know Where should we get those subscribers from in terms of like what accounts? Are we going to pull the follower lists of And then over the course of this month, we should just test that out. And if it works, then we can do it and pull everything in-house with the other ones like augments newsletter, the polls and playground posts. I think there’s one more too. So that’s what I’m thinking. I don’t love it. I wish we could just offload this to him. And have it be what it is, but I just don’t trust them. So I think it’s the smart move for us to increase our margins and sort of let that roll. [Ben Ornstein]: In terms of timing, it could seem pretty organic for the reasons you said about the clients churning. And also the other note is myself and Max both decided to cut the use in half cause like we’re not seeing revenue from the newsletter. So both of us just told them that we wanted to cut that in half. So it could seem pretty organic, um, is, is my point. Cool. I didn’t know that you did too. [Michael Houck]: So that, that’s, that’s actually good to know. Um, I decided to do that like a couple of days ago. [Ben Ornstein]: Max gave me the idea. I was like, you know what, wait, that is a good idea. I’m not seeing too much ROI on this. [Michael Houck]: So yeah. [Michael Houck]: Yeah. So I, I, also to Matt this morning that we were seeing the declining open rate. And I was able to say, I think that’s related in some way to imports that we have done. Regardless of whether those imports came from him or not, I think it’s related to that. So we’re experimenting again with meta ads and other strategies and things like that. So I think it will come off very organic to him. But I’m also not going to just blindside him and be like, we’re taking, because I think right now we’re sending him like 5, 6k a month with this, maybe a little more than that. I Don’t just want to take that away because then I think he would be Less like he would like be more pissed. I don’t want to deal with that. So Let’s deal with these four and then if it goes well, then I can be like, hey, we’ve seen you know Good results are doing some other things. So we’re gonna move the rest of them that way too. So That’s my thinking as I said, don’t love it, but I think it’s the slightly better option out of two that I don’t love. What do you guys think? [Ben Ornstein]: Would it be interesting to test, like on my newsletter, for example, since it’s such low stakes, both at the same time, or would that be kind of weird? Well, I don’t think, I mean, what are we going to learn from that test, right? [Michael Houck]: Like, I mean, we’d learn like, is there a difference in quality, but it’s going to take us months to really know the answer to that question. Yes, that’s true. I think it’s one of those things where as long as we have confidence that we’re not going to lose a lot, and I think based on the imports we’ve done to Founding Journey, I feel like that’s probably true. We’ve been doing the meta ads and the tweet scrape imports into Founding Journey for a bit now, and I personally feel no draw to go back and use his service for Founding Journey. If you’re confident in that, I’m confident in that. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [Ben Ornstein]: I mean, my, my data from my research is, or my, you know, my newsletter is they get important and immediately a large portion of them unsubscribe because I have it set up where they do receive the welcome newsletter. Cause I do want them to get that right away. I, that’s my preference. Um, and so, so many of them turn them right away. [Michael Houck]: So the issue with that, and I was talking to Tyler this at beehive last week the issue is that if these email server things like like google’s actual system gmail system sees that you have a high like propensity of sending one email to someone and then they unsubscribe or click an unsubscribe link or whatever that will penalize your deliverability and that’s what we’ve seen with founding journey right we’ve seen that we’re landing in promotions or we’re And so we’ve had longtime readers sort of reach out about that. So that’s why we need really aggressive unsubscribe rules for this stuff. But more than that, I think I have some skepticism about it. So I think in that case, I’d rather have full control of that process and be able to make adjustments and things like that. Yeah. [Ben Ornstein]: In terms of the control, I’m fully on board with that. As long as we can make it so Matt doesn’t flip out, I think that’s the right plan. [Blake Stewart]: Any thoughts on your own, Blake? [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, I will. This is probably worth changing up your email sequence, your welcome sequence, to have them respond in a better way of just saying, hey, I am interested. This is who I am. I don’t know. That’s a whole other conversation. As far as Matt and growth, I’m curious what other data points he was collecting. With the new Never Bounce tool you signed up for last week, there’s a nice lookalike audience as well. So that’s another place we could take new people from besides Tweetscrape. I mean, Tweetscrape would be easy just to find Twitter accounts that make sense to us, run it through a process, and keep importing. I mean, the end goal is pretty simple there. But depending on his other data points, I don’t know. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, the max system is totally like custom built. And so he’s got like, you know, he not only is pulling who people follow, he’s pulling what they talk about in their own, in their own posts, and in replies to other people who they’re engaging with what’s in their bio. And he can also do that, like across not every platform, but like, YouTube comments, things like that, too. So it’s more versatile. And it’s more detailed. He can do sub stack too, which is interesting. So he’s got a lot of firepower, but my guess is that it’s like an 80, 20 thing and the tweet screen probably gets us the 80. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: So, yeah. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay. [Blake Stewart]: Well, yeah, let me know what you need there. I’ll keep doing it for founding journey and we cranked it up to about And those people, those people we’re putting into founding journey, they’re, they, they’re not getting the normal welcome sequence. [Michael Houck]: They’re getting a, I think we send them the investor database or the pitch deck database in like a two line email first. This is like, Hey, you know, think thought you might like this. It’s totally free and detached, whatever, you know? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Perfect. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: That’s, that’s hugely important, but I still think we need, I probably should set up conditional unsubscribed blog posts. For them because otherwise it’ll keep dragging things down. Okay, so I’ll send over that list like after this and then actually be able to start a thread and we can just brainstorm like who should follow what to grab what list to grab for each one. And then I’ll finalize dates to stop with Matt for these and say, we’re just going to experiment with the couple and then the others. I mean, they are churning. So yeah. [Blake Stewart]: I mean, I think it makes sense to keep that in-house offering anyway. Yeah. I mean, obviously for your margins, but just for the relationship with the client. Yeah, relationship with the client. [Michael Houck]: And I think just like Matt has proven himself a bit of a wild card, like giving weird advice to some clients and things like that. So I just don’t trust it. It doesn’t pass the sniff test. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, I mean, once again, after hearing you say this several times, it sounds like I’m bothering you, so I support your decision. [Ben Ornstein]: And on the op side of things, we’re set up where we have full control and can quickly shift everything in case of a disaster. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, it’ll increase our margins a decent amount like for crowd surf, the growth for advanced genie the growth or for the draw and for nutmeg, that’s an extra like 2k ish maybe even maybe even 2.5k a month, just in like raw profit for us basically. For the agency takes a margin up to 50%, 50.2%. So even with the lost clients doing that and the Draper increase actually keeps our like any exit price at the same as it would otherwise be, which is nice. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Cool, yeah. [Michael Houck]: All right, so let’s set into the normal stuff. Let’s do ads first. So I’m gonna share the ads dashboard here. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay, so we now have four weeks of data. [Michael Houck]: The SparkLoop stuff, there’s a huge delay on, obviously, so we’re not gonna really have good data there. Like you see, there’s still 133 pending referrals from like, you know, three weeks ago, takes a while. Hopefully some of those convert, but our spend has been flat last two weeks. But our CPA went up substantially. So what this tells me is that the existing ad concepts we have are fatiguing. People have seen them already. They’re being re-shown to the same people to some degree. And they’re just not as fresh anymore. So I know, Ben, you have some new ones that you sent. I took some of those live, like the meme ones, this morning or last night. And then we’re going to make final edits on the airplane ones. And I’ll take those live tonight or tomorrow or something. What are you thinking in terms of concepts for this week? Because I think we need different concepts. [Ben Ornstein]: Yeah, I wish I had more technical chops on this side. Because then I could edit some of the animations and motion graphics that I’m seeing on Motion Array, which is one of the tools we’re They’ve got so many different concepts. And then when I’m looking at the examples, I want to be able to kind of make our motion graphics that I’m taking and make them look more like the other ones. All of that to say, I don’t have any concepts yet that I can replicate really closely, but I can come up with different ideas that aren’t, you know, don’t have proven examples, if that makes sense. [Michael Houck]: So, okay, I mean, we have that library of ones that other people are using, right? I think let’s just do what they’re doing. And I know that we don’t need to go for the most complex ones, like the ones that have the most video elements or the most motion elements. Those aren’t even necessarily the ones that are gonna perform the best, right? So I would say, let’s experiment with a lot of those different ones and just do what you can simple image editing tools. And if that’s going to take you a ton of time, just ask Celine to do it. She’s hourly for us, so anything we loop her in for, it’s totally ad hoc, so it’s fine. But we definitely need new ones. We can’t reach next Monday and not have a higher variety of concepts live. So regardless of whether that’s you doing it, or looping her in, or getting some design designer off of Upwork or whatever, your role here is basically to source the right concepts and then to get them into production. If that means you’re doing the production or not, that’s irrelevant to the process. So yeah, let’s just get a bunch of those ready this week. And then next week, let’s, in this meeting, just come with some concept ideas for the week. And we’ll make that a regular part of the process. But let’s get some live this week too. [Ben Ornstein]: Yeah, we’ll get there. Ones for sure and then I will by end of week have other ones that we can go live with and then concepts as well. Okay sounds good. [Michael Houck]: I’ll keep the spend the same for now then unless we see it take up although with the new ones having gone live this morning and then the the airplane ones I think it will probably come down a little bit which will be good so I think we can probably spend flat. Landing page conversion continues to be bad. I haven’t had time to look into this but it’s getting more urgent. So this is also contributing to the high CPA, not just concept fatigue. So I need to find time to prioritize that this week. But if you look down here at spark loop, it’s not doing very well. You know, we’ll see after like the next two or three weeks, really like what the confirmed rate is. And a lot of them normally do confirm it like the end of the period. So, you know, it’s fine, but we need these percentages now we’re only earning back like 10 cents a subscriber so if we’re paying you know $2.94 that means we're really paying like $2.80 something which is really a negligible difference. So I’m going to follow up with the Lead Magnet folks from the Welcome Sequence too. I don’t have those numbers yet but we probably need to spend some time in Upscribe this week making sure we’re referring the right partners and seeing what our RCR is and things like that. So if you wanna help on a call, we can do that later this week, but also feel free to just get in there and poke around with it a bit. [Ben Ornstein]: Sounds good. I’ll take a look myself, but we can probably help on a call later to optimize, to make sure I’m thinking about it the right way. [Michael Houck]: Okay, well, just let me know. [Michael Houck]: Let’s see. [Michael Houck]: Okay, content. So YouTube video went live Sunday. I didn’t get it live on Saturday because I ended up doing some things on Friday night. But went live Sunday and performance has been okay. It started out pretty poor, but has been picking up recently. We’re seeing that it’s doing better than average in terms of how often it shows up on people’s YouTube homepages. So that’s a positive signal. I also got a lot of like, I’d say like five or six text messages from friends that were like, this video is like your best, like keep this format up. I love it. So Ben, I think you’re, oh, no, you’re back. Okay. So I think, so I think, Ben, can you actually mute? There’s some weird feedback coming through. Okay. Um, so I was analyzing like what will make a video of this format perform really well. And, um, a lot of it has to come down to the title. And so I think Ben, I was sharing some thoughts with you about like why outliers of this format have done well and what, what questions they make the viewer ask when they first see it. So I think we just need to lean into that more. I think the actual quality of the video is quite good. So I think it’s just about packaging and making sure that people want to click on it. So that’s that. We’ll do Telegram this week, aiming to finish the script today and then record either tomorrow or Wednesday. So we’ll target getting that live not this Saturday, but the following Saturday. And then hopefully get into a weekly cadence from there. And back to posting on socials as well, like text-based stuff. The churning client threw me off my plan to spend like two hours this morning commenting other people’s stuff, but that’s OK. Well, we’re back on the saddle for the content stuff now that I’m kind of settled in here at my parents. Um, let’s see, uh, sponsorships, Blake. Um, I know we have, I think like two decent sized packages that are verbally confirmed. Uh, what’s the status of those. Yeah. So QA source verbally confirmed. [Blake Stewart]: I met again with Greg on Friday just to go over expectations and like copy and what they want from this. Um, he said, yeah, I think it’s a good idea. Going to pay today, so that’s $12,500, which would be great. And this is kind of just a test package. If it goes well, they’re going to want to do a year-long thing. I mean, it’s great. We are definitely earlier than their ICP. I mean, their average customer is spending thousands of dollars players on their service. But they want to get their presence out there, have more top of funnel. And their founder CEO likes what we’re doing. So feel good about it. And yeah, we’ll see. I want to carry everything around the Founder Deep Dive as well, just so that we get a better idea of who they are. And then we can tie some of their other placements To that bank today Do they want to do? [Michael Houck]: Maybe included in the deep dive a podcast episode Maybe yeah, they’re open to a lot. [Blake Stewart]: They haven’t really done anything like this before. [Michael Houck]: Yeah My thought is that basically You know the more content we put out there and especially if we get like his face out there to people it will perform better. And if this is like potentially them doing a year long thing that would be huge for us, like we should pull out all the stops and make sure that they’re successful. So, um, it could, it could be good too. So we do the interview for the deep dive, right? It could be good to just say, fuck that. Let’s instead do a podcast interview. And then I take what we talk about there and I write up the deep I think that would be great. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: I think they’d love that. Let’s do it. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Let’s do it. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay. [Michael Houck]: You can tell them that like we talked about it and we’re just really excited about them as a partner and you know, blah, blah, blah. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. Um, so I use that link, your calendar, the link, just hit that up or use the podcast one. [Michael Houck]: Yeah. Use the podcast one and tell them, tell them to schedule it at least like two weeks out so that, uh, Ben and I had time to do, the research back and forth. Cool, okay. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, well, I mean, he’s got some good stories about like, they had Slack and Airtable and all these other kind of, you know, bigger unicorn companies as early stage clients for them. So they kind of want to like use that to compare to where our founders want to be. And they opened a lot. And I do think this could be a megaphone studio client as well. I think we can kind of pitch them there too, because They’re just kind of like all over the place with their marketing, and they want to get a little bit more creative. So I think this is a great opportunity for us. Greg is a big numbers guy. So we sat down, and he wanted to know how many clicks are expected, how many clicks we’ll convert to. They have a couple different funnels. One’s like a downloadable PDF. Another one’s like a one-on-one webinar, so they can learn about the client and then pitch them some services. With a fund, I think it’s called Team Ignite, that has like 200 startups in the portfolio and they’re offering like these different packages to those startups, which I think could be a whole other avenue of either using that fund and that branding to hype up our readers about some opportunities like this. So there’s definitely a lot here. I would love to let them get the name. [Michael Houck]: Let’s get them across the line for this package, and we’ll pitch the podcast as part of it. And then I will try to talk with them, because I think I’m already on a thread with them. So I’ll talk with them about Megaphone Studio as well. Because I think even regardless of how they perform, and hopefully they perform amazing with us, but even regardless of that, if they’re like, hey, we want to get our name out there, no better way to do it than our lead content. So, um, yeah. Okay. [Michael Houck]: I mean that, that could be good. [Michael Houck]: That could be really good. Yeah. I’m excited about this. [Blake Stewart]: Um, and yeah, I, I think, yeah, we’ll see. I really just wanted to get you guys, you on a call with them. Um, they’re, they kind of, they have a lot here and I think we could kind of convert a lot. So, um, yeah, we’ll, we’ll focus on this first package and then yeah, hopefully we’ll keep it going bigger. So yeah, that’s good. Delete me was the other one for 6K, a couple of different feature placements. Yeah, I signed the thing. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: We’re good there. [Blake Stewart]: They just want to do, yeah, that 50%. [Blake Stewart]: So they’re going to pay up front and then pay on the first day and then pay at the end as well, which the package is big. I’m fine with that. I think you already approved that as well. Then we’ve got two other. Two of the weeks that are out there. Ben’s been working on the Blaze AI guy for a while, but he went on vacation, so he never paid the invoice. So I filled his spot with someone else that did pay. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: So still working there. [Blake Stewart]: But yeah, I mean, with those first two, we’re looking good for this month. So going to keep pushing on some other ones. But yeah, good spot. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, sounds good. I mean, if we get those paid this month and then smaller ones or one more featured or something like that will be in a real, real good place. [Blake Stewart]: So yeah, it feels good. Yeah. One thing like, so Angelica is saying she could get me 30 to 40 sponsors a week, but she’s tracking 240 newsletters. So I’m trying to work with her to try and get those numbers up. I don’t know where you guys were doing before what dreams and Reina were kind of sending over, but 30, 40. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, that feels low. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, it doesn’t feel straight for me. [Michael Houck]: That doesn’t give you a lot of flexibility, a lot of people to work with. So let me make a note. I’ll DM Angelica. OK. [Blake Stewart]: I messaged her and just asked what we could do to get that up and if she can meet with me. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, but I’m just going to lay it out for her just like you did. Like, hey, we’re tracking this many newsletters. We should be getting this many sponsors. What’s going on? That’s fine. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay. [Blake Stewart]: All my cadence is still pretty good. Like I’m having 50, like I put those into a sequence and I’m still having 50 outreaches per my three emails go out. So it’s like 150 messages a day, which is decent. And I’m doing some other outreach myself outside of her sourcing. But yeah. Okay. [Michael Houck]: And we’ve got the new, we’ve got the four new inboxes warming. So in two weeks, those will be ready. And we can use those for the webinar. We can use those for sponsors. The website, the URL, sorry, the domain is like try Megaphone Studio or get Megaphone Studio or whatever. So it might be a little confusing if we use it for sponsors, but at the end of the day, you can use it for whatever you want. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. Yeah, great. Once we get that going, we can compare it to Valley. It’s supposed to go back into their dashboard, but their dashboard only shows like one campaign at a time. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: So this was kind of a pain for me. [Blake Stewart]: So I messaged them because their, their data is pretty hard to extract. I’ll go through and kind of toggle, manually toggle everything of, you know, interested, not interested, meeting booked, all that good stuff. It’s supposed to go back into their dashboard, but their dashboard only shows like one campaign at a time. So this was kind of a pain for me. So I messaged them because their data is pretty hard to extract. I’ll go through and kind of toggle, manually toggle everything of, you know, interested, not interested, meeting booked, all that good stuff. It’s supposed to go back into their dashboard, but their dashboard only shows like one campaign at a time. So this was kind of a pain for me. To get and it’s not that great. But, so we kind of started in May. It was going a little slow and then we kind of ramped up. So, yeah, the last two weeks been sending, yeah, like an average of 160 messages a day. Our max is around 325 across our five accounts of emails and messages and requests. And so those are kind of converting to these numbers. So total sins, daily average meeting booked, and it comes down to sins to meetings. So we’re seeing an average of 200 messages to get one meeting. Last week was great. So we were that got down to 120. And I think this is kind of ramping up the past two weeks, kind of see a delay of, you know, a couple days of, you know, starting those messages, people, you know, taking a day or two to get back to me. Um, and so I think, you know, if I keep these numbers up, we should see, you know, the, you know, six meetings a week continue this 120 should go down. Um, yeah, so we’re, we’re seeing about, you know, 1.6 a day from March 100. Um, and the goal is to get up to, to 2.7. Um, and that’s maxed out. The issue is just like, once again, Valley’s UX is not easy. [Michael Houck]: Um, yeah. I think that the bigger issue is that we’ve had, obviously some of these are scheduled for this week and next week and things like that, but we’ve had ways that that’s 18, 18 meetings booked so far. And while I think that four of them that I’ve met with, I think are at least a 50, 50 shot of converting. If four of these convert, let’s say that some of these meetings are future-facing, let’s take the six and say they’re all future-facing, that would mean that we have 12 and four would convert. Worst case, three would convert. That puts us in the 25% to 33% range, which is fine. Like, that works. So as long as that kind of rate continues, it makes sense to keep the channel going. OK. OK, great. [Blake Stewart]: Well, yeah, I’ll keep these numbers going. And then, I mean, hopefully, we should see a conversion in the next week or two. [Michael Houck]: Yeah. [Michael Houck]: I will, um, I’ll let you know as soon as folks like sign the doc and pay the stripe link and all that stuff, because, um, yeah, we attract that. We have, yeah, we have that here. [Blake Stewart]: And just as far as like intense on converting as well, I I’m wondering if I really should just push the homepage a lot more and have people book through the link on the megafun studio website Instead of sending your link directly Honestly, I think that there’s only been Really? [Michael Houck]: There’s only been one call maybe maybe two tops that were like totally unqualified Okay, so I think it’s fine When we have the real website, which should go live not this Friday, but next Friday When we have that It might make sense to send more people to the page because at that point, the offer will be laid out very clearly on there. But let’s solve that problem two weeks from now. Okay. That makes sense. Okay. Yeah. [Blake Stewart]: I mean, I just don’t want this to backfire and then your calendar get filled up with people who are. [Michael Houck]: If we’re doing two, three meetings a day, it’s fine either way. You know, it’s not like you’re scheduled. When we’re out five hours straight. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: So thanks for putting this together. [Michael Houck]: I think if you can, I mean, it sounds tedious to do. So if you want to get like, I guess Reena’s in Valley. So if you want her to do this, just like loop her in and show her how to do it each week. [Blake Stewart]: So you don’t have to. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, I might do that. I messaged them too, to see if they can fix the dashboard because it’s, we shouldn’t count on that. [Michael Houck]: Yeah. Okay. [Blake Stewart]: So going back to this, yeah, these numbers are going to be important once we get the HubSpot outreach going, because if I could beat, you know, 120,000 people, I think that’s a pretty good number. I think that’s a pretty good number. [Michael Houck]: I think that’s a pretty good number. [Blake Stewart]: I think that’s a pretty good number. [Blake Stewart]: I think that’s a pretty good number. [Blake Stewart]: 20 messages to one meeting, which I, I mean, I think I probably can. Yeah. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: I mean, if you’re, if you’re doing like, I mean, it could make sense to keep both channels open, right. Cause it’s like, yeah, you know I think we’ve paid for them through July, I believe. Cause we paid, we did may, June, July and then a kickback as well. He’s giving me three extra weeks. So basically we have the tool through August essentially. Um, So there’s no urgency to decide and I think even if we’re seeing worse performance from the channel I’d rather just get the volume up, you know And so if we think we can scale Email and cold cold email outbound and do better than okay, like we can talk about pushing all our resources into there but But let’s keep let’s let’s keep the plan being to do to do both. Yeah. Yeah, I still like it. [Blake Stewart]: I still think there’s a lot I’m still a fan. Yeah. Cool. Okay. [Michael Houck]: And then I guess that’s it. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I think we covered everything. So yeah, I think the other thing is then webinar stuff. So Blake’s in, we’re good. We’re going to pick a topic for the first one, probably by tomorrow or Wednesday. And then I’ll get a Luma page set up. We’ll get like Celine to create a banner or something. And then we’ll announce it in founding journey on Saturday and also in viral examples on Monday. And we’ll just keep pushing it in every single issue of the newsletter till the 20th or whatever it is. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Cool. [Blake Stewart]: Do you want to set any goals? Expectations? [Michael Houck]: It was our first one, so it’s hard, but if I’m posting about on social, if Blake’s posting about on social, if Blake’s posting in his newsletter, his ICP for his newsletter isn’t really our target. We’re like marketers than founders. Most of the folks will come from our side. I don’t know, man. If 20 people show up, I would love it. And then if one or two of those convert into a client, If we see that, then we can run one of these every week. We can run like, this week we’re doing the Twitter algo, this week we’re doing why you should be paying attention to threads, this week we’re doing how to set up an AI thing for your content. You know what I mean? There’s endless topics we can do this for. And if it’s just me and Blake getting on a call and teaching people how to do something simple, easy stuff. So let’s see how it goes, but maybe by July, we’re doing these once a week. [Blake Stewart]: I don’t know. All right. [Michael Houck]: I like this. Cool. Cool. Ben, anything else from your end? [Ben Ornstein]: No, I’m just focused on all things campaigns. It’s just very, very time consuming. And I’m actively trying to think about ways to make this quicker or Optimized but it’s slowing me down on everything because I’m doing like manual outreach and so Like that’s why that’s why that ads probably aren’t in as good a spot as they should be And yeah everything else so well, we’ll have those Basically The 17th is our target launch date for the new megaphone dashboard with the campaigns functionality built into it it. [Michael Houck]: So I’m having a chat with Rafael today about some final things there. And then I owe him some stuff this week, especially on the AI stuff. It’s just kept getting pushed down for more urgent things with people, you know, doing stuff. But yeah, our target is that worst case, it’ll be by the end of the month. So the campaigns process will be largely automated to the one thing that won’t be automated is finding creators outside of our scope for different clients. But I feel like that’s stuff that you can be able to delegate to Rina more and more as we get it down. [Ben Ornstein]: One thing I’m thinking about is for all of these campaigns that we have, we can create a separate dashboard or just something, even just a database on our end that has all these people that we’ve reached out to that have given us their rates. Or we could essentially add them to the creator database. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, if we’re collecting rates, we should have a central place that then, I mean, it will be in the app. Like when we set that up, I’ll want you to share all that with Rafael so that he can import it to the database. But if you want to create some central master sheet in the meantime, like feel free. [Ben Ornstein]: I started to do that. So yeah. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, because then we can just pull from that and have them tagged by nature. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yep. Yep. [Michael Houck]: All right. All right, guys. [Michael Houck]: Sounds good. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Great.
