[Michael Houck]: I mean, I keep getting like messages, like emails that people are interested in meeting. Yeah. Yeah. [Blake Stewart]: Um, I tried to turn that off. So I requested that they change that feature. It’s fine. [Michael Houck]: I mean, it’s, it’s just like a notification basically. So for me, it’s like, Oh, more people are interested. That must mean it’s, you know, working. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah. No messages are firing off. It’s good. Um, definitely some interest. It’s just, um, I mean their UX definitely needs some some work. I keep submitting like feedback Like not everything’s moved over from from LinkedIn to Valley. So like things are getting lost But oh, yeah, it’s it’s working. I just set up two New campaigns for your account as well. You kind of went through the full list that I originally had the LinkedIn search so I created a new one specifically for VCS and And I duplicated the product you had in there and then kind of made some adjustments and added some value props for kind of VC firms. So I haven’t launched that yet, but I’ve got that set up. So. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay. [Michael Houck]: Can I take a look at some of the copy for that? [Blake Stewart]: Because I think those are more sensitive. Definitely. Yeah. I haven’t sent anything out yet. [Michael Houck]: So for does that I mean, I think that Okay, let me take a step back Does that mean that we don’t feel like we have a good amount of founders to keep going through or what does that mean? [Blake Stewart]: I’m not sure I can kind of tweak our search to get more founders The thing is that it kind of cross-checks all the campaigns that are going on and so if we get our list down to you know And then upload it, we essentially have like 10 campaigns across all of our accounts. And so they’re kind of split up into not that many prospects per campaign. Right. But like, can we get another, I know we’re limited to the 2,500 size. [Michael Houck]: I mean, 500 of the same kind of cohort. Yep. Yep. [Blake Stewart]: I could, I could do another search. [Michael Houck]: Yeah. And start over with that. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, because I think in general, like founders are going to be the most receptive, just unable to move quickest. Also, we’ve gotten like, I don’t know, a decent amount of calls scheduled now. I think I’ve only had, let me open up the channel just so I’m right on this. Okay, Fabian, Michael, Alex, Alex. [Blake Stewart]: I don’t know where they came from [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I know one of them, but some of them has come from different spots. Okay. Yeah. So I talked to Maurizio. He seems likely, but not immediate. Okay. To Derek, but I don’t think that was one that came from this. George canceled. I emailed him and trying to figure out why. Okay. Alfredo I talked to, but he doesn’t have budget right now. So he said circle back in six months after fundraisers. And then a few of the others have like postponed, like they’ve like pushed it back a week or something like that. Yeah. So we don’t have a ton of data points yet, basically is what I’m trying to say. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. Yeah, I will kind of start more And I said, do you want to compare how we’re doing versus what’s normal? [Michael Houck]: And on Tuesday he said, we’ll revert. And I haven’t heard from him since. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Founder. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I’m sure. We’ll revert. Yeah, I’m sure. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I’m sure. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah, I’m sure. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I’m sure. Yeah, I’m sure. [Michael Houck]: Okay Yeah, cuz I think we definitely We definitely need to see at least one person convert from this channel in the next couple weeks for it to be You know, basically we make a decision on whether we want to keep using it By like mid-july, right? So like two months from now, maybe a little bit earlier than that. Okay, so And also just if we do sell the proof point of having one one, two, three customers come into this channel would be great. Definitely. [Blake Stewart]: I mean, yeah, there’s a lot of potential here, like especially just like sending the emails of like, you know, your connections are growing. You might not know these people, but like your LinkedIn followers is growing just by using Valley. But yeah, once again, it’s like hard to compare anything else because we’re not doing any other outbound. Like if you just gave me domains and I just launch sequences, it’s probably going to be pretty comparable. [Michael Houck]: Would you do that in HubSpot? If we set that up, like if I just give you like five domains and we warm up for two weeks and then go for it? Yeah. And we get those emails from where? [Blake Stewart]: From TweetScraper? Yeah, probably. I wonder if I could pull them. I don’t think I could pull them out of LinkedIn, but yeah. Scraper. We’ve got Apollo. Uh, it’s true. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: I don’t think that would be an issue finding the contacts. [Blake Stewart]: It would honestly probably be a better, like we’d have a better search filter and like criteria doing it on our own instead of through the LinkedIn sales navigator filters. Cause those are not really ideal. Okay. [Michael Houck]: Let’s, let’s do that. Then I will buy like five domains and we’ll set up two inboxes on each domain. And we add them to HubSpot, we let them warm up for two weeks. And so then early June, we start sending, you know, emails and basically then we will be able to compare Valley to, um, email for, uh, like one cohort versus email for, for another cohort and to see where the, where the performance is. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [Blake Stewart]: That sounds good. Like their main value prop is that they could pull, you know, information to then make it ultra personalized, which is good. But also there’s some backfire there of like, Hey, this was, very AI and robotic and not good. But if I just throw in a note in the HubSpot, I can still personalize it pretty easily on the mass outreach of like, hey, I saw you did this. [Michael Houck]: Yeah. I don’t know. I’ll buy those in boxes in the next day or two. Yeah, I’m intrigued. OK. That doesn’t change our pricing on HubSpot, right? It’s the same. [Blake Stewart]: For the warm up in my, we might need to, are you going to warm up through HubSpot or something? No, it doesn’t. I could add personal emails. I think I got like 10 or plenty of them. [Michael Houck]: So, um, yeah. [Blake Stewart]: And each one I can send like 500 sequences a day, which we won’t be doing, but yeah. [Michael Houck]: OK, sweet. Yeah, I think just having those, it’ll help us make that decision in July of like, do we? Yeah, OK, cool. Yeah, that’s a good path forward. I mean, it’s cool. [Blake Stewart]: It’s a great tool. It’s fun. But I mean, I’ve got nothing to compare it to to see if it’s actually worth it. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I mean, and so far, I think we haven’t seen the sort of blow up the calendar type of numbers that we were hoping for. Not that that’s anything we’re doing. That seems to be the tools, just not a lot of bugs and things like that. [Blake Stewart]: So unless that changes, it obviously will make sense to try to diversify what we’re doing. OK. Sounds good. All right. That’s good. I had a note about talking about referrals, juicing referrals. Partnerships, and whatnot. So I know you’re reaching out to your personal network. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yes. [Michael Houck]: So next week, I’m basically just going to be spamming everyone I know being like, hey, do you want $1,000? And basically just asking everyone for one intro. That's it. We'll see. And if they give me one, then I'll ask them for another one. So that's that plan. And then also talking to existing customers, basically maybe offer them some discount on the next month if they give us someone who converts or something like that. Oh, I'm not this is necessarily, you know, outreach and growth related but it seems I'm equivocating here a bit. But from what I was told by Michael over at the Draper crew, they are going to substantially expand with us in the next couple of weeks, maybe even next week. So yeah, it'll be a huge proof point because we'll be able to go to potential acquirers and be like, yeah, our, you know, highest profile client, Forex their contract with us after one month, basically, right? [Blake Stewart]: Like, that's huge. Yeah. Yeah, that's awesome. I wish we can name drop them. [Michael Houck]: But that's the shitty I've had to tell so many people like, sorry, I can't give you any specific case studies, but like, If they, if, if they want, we can send them like, uh, we have like screenshots of like high-performing posts from some recent clients who we can share if they want to. [Blake Stewart]: Uh, that might be helpful to have. Yeah, definitely. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. Yeah. [Blake Stewart]: Or I guess even on the landing page, the new website, that would be nice. [Michael Houck]: We're going to include that. We're wrapping up the copy changes tomorrow. And then on Monday, the design team is actually starting to build the site. So we expect it will go live not next Friday, but the Friday after that. OK, cool. And it's going to be a combined. I don't think we've talked about this too much, but basically, I want to package Megaphone and Megaphone Studio for the acquisition if we do that. And also just in general, I think it's smart. It'll also make the price points look a little, I think, interesting and let us talk about growing people's accounts in an interesting way. So combine it into one website. And basically, if you sign up for the one tier, Then you'll go into sort of the megaphone platform world if you sign up for the other tier It'll take you to book a call with me to get things started basically, okay? [Blake Stewart]: Cool yeah, that makes sense. That's yeah Hasn't been difficult, but it's kind of funny. They kind of navigate those two offers of like Hey, do you need help with content? I got people saying like oh, yeah my own content like how can I yeah? [Michael Houck]: Oh, yeah, we could help with that, too Yeah, so we have like a low tier, which is like access to the network, you get a bunch of engagements, and you also get like operational support, like scheduling and stuff like that. And then it goes up into, oh, well, you actually want to, you want to scale, you want to have content created for you too. [Blake Stewart]: Okay, cool. Here's, here's that. Nice. Nice. Well, um, How are you going to list it? I feel like this is a huge package. [Michael Houck]: It's a great deal. I saw someone's Twitter account the other day. [Blake Stewart]: He looked like a good buyer, but yeah, I don't know. [Michael Houck]: Yeah. I mean, there's a couple of ways to do it. There's private brokers. And ironically, Zade has sold two agencies before. And so he's like, yeah, I could just connect you with my guy. Okay. Second, and they take 10%. Second is, is using like acquire.com. They take 3% and obviously you're sort of out there publicly at that point. And then the third way is just like, if I know somebody who I reach out to and they're interested, right? So this could be, I don't know, the least likely path, but it saves us a little bit, a little bit of cash. [Blake Stewart]: Okay, cool. Yeah, I think that's how I first found out about Valley. It was Zade's previous agency was bought. I think it was Thinkfish or something was the name of it. And I was connected with that guy. [Michael Houck]: So we'll see how it goes. But together, I mean, it's a good deal. It's great. It's huge. And I think that combining the two especially if we add in some like basic AI stuff to the content creation process, I think it's going to get us more of like a software type multiple rather than an agency multiple. So my target is like a five to seven X, but some people have like, you know, who aren't putting their money on the table. Some people have said, no, you could probably get like seven, eight, maybe even up to 10. Well, if it's 10, it would be fucking insane. If it's even seven or eight, it'd be fucking insane. But you know, agencies normally like three to four. So. Anything above five is going to be a great result for us. [Blake Stewart]: Nice. Cool. Yeah, the bundle is great. The two of them together is awesome. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: So it's just a matter of how we message that on the website. So it's cohesive for anybody who lands on it. And then also the onboarding experience is a little weird right now. So we got to, we got to firm that up too. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. Cool. [Michael Houck]: Coming together. [Michael Houck]: Yeah. I think, I think we're, assuming that we grow over the next four or five weeks, I think we could list in July, is my hypothesis. That's fast. Wow. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: OK. [Blake Stewart]: But it depends. [Michael Houck]: If we don't close out this quarter strong on growth, then we're going to need to take it into next quarter and show strong growth there. But we're sort of, you know, I see more people building these little, like, create your content with AI micro-assessments. Tools and more clients are like, Oh, like, you know, do you guys use any AI? And so I'm just like, I'm seeing those little bubbling signs that are like, it's getting that time, you know? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah, that makes sense. [Blake Stewart]: Hmm. Okay. [Michael Houck]: We'll push on Valley, try and get a Yeah, growing, growing revenue is the number one thing we can do to increase conviction on on folks side. [Blake Stewart]: So, okay, I'm looking at the exit checklist. [Michael Houck]: And then we should also, we should also talk about the webinar stuff, the event stuff. Yeah, because that's huge. [Blake Stewart]: I mean, that's another massive chunk to this whole thing. [Michael Houck]: Packages if you had these going on week or monthly weekly would be cool too, but yeah massive top-of-funnel Even we could even do it weekly like if we reserve one hour a week Where we run the same playbook or we vary it maybe like one week every month is Twitter one week every month is how to grow on LinkedIn one week every month is how to write a killer newsletter right yeah mark to our audiences and and also do cold for it. Having that motion could be good. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I think going back to those domains, I mean, cold outreach for that would be huge. [Blake Stewart]: Just like part of the outreach process of like, hey, come check out our webinar this week. You're invited. You seem like a good fit. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, and honestly, that might even be a better approach with cold than trying to just pitch the service. So just turning around. The higher percentage. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Yeah. I'm going to talk about spinning up more of these more of these webinars. And then we can when we chat next week, let's try to operationalize the plan. [Blake Stewart]: And maybe I'll loop Blake into that conversation too. OK. Yeah. All right. I've got a list somewhere. [Michael Houck]: for an easy checklist to throw together that, just need to invite people. But yeah, I think as long as we're getting leads from those sources, we'll be in a very strong place. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: So, I feel good. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. Seasonally, it's kind of Accelerator demo day season. Is it? Pitch events are starting to pop off, yeah. [Michael Houck]: We should grab those lists. OK, yeah, I thought about compiling some. [Blake Stewart]: They're all in my emails. [Blake Stewart]: You can have, it's a good thing to just delegate to Angelica, right? [Michael Houck]: Just like tell her. Hey, this demo day, you know, grab every company from it, grab their emails, find the founders, all that stuff and put together a sheet with like relevant info on each one. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, going back to value personalization, I throw that in HubSpot and say, Hey, I saw you pitch at the Hitler demo day. Great job. We'd love for you. Yeah, whatever. OK. Cool. [Michael Houck]: Because, yeah, because if they're raising money from that, they're going to want to use some of that. [Blake Stewart]: So OK. That was making sense. [Michael Houck]: OK, cool. What else we got? Oh, another thing I'm going to be doing is, especially if, Tim does expand like I anticipate he will, then I'm going to just go pretty hard on all my VC connections and just try to get us like two, three more VC firms on board. And if we do that, I think again, it just becomes more attractive because the relationships are high leverage. I need to find that tweet. [Blake Stewart]: I'll dig it up. There's a tweet from a couple of months ago just about VC branding and how big of a need there is for right now. Oh, yeah. That'd be great. Someone will make a killing for VC branding. [Blake Stewart]: I've saved it somewhere. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: I'll find it. That'd be huge. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [Blake Stewart]: Have you talked to Draper about their startups? Kind of not just ramping up with them, but like ramping into their network? [Michael Houck]: I wanted to get, I wanted to close the deal. On increasing with them first. Because if we do this, we'll be doing Tim's account in higher volume, the Draper Associates account higher volume, and his partner Andy's account at high volume too. So it's literally both GPs at the firm and the firm. At that point, it just makes a lot of sense to then go back to him a couple weeks later and be like, hey, now that we're doing this, but also, if you have any portcos who you want to go hard on content, let's go that route too. So yeah, that's probably going to be something we do in June or early July is my guess. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: OK. Yeah, you need to pitch that. [Michael Houck]: But yeah, I think I'm feeling good about it, man. I really am. I feel like we're in the plane. We're going over that. The beach in St. Barts or wherever it is, right? And the runway is up there, but you gotta go over it, like the turbulence is crazy. So we gotta keep it steady for these last couple of miles. That's how I feel, man. That's how I feel. So yeah, so if we get a five, let me just, I'll just share you my kind of financial thinking on this. So, If we combine the two businesses which we're gonna do and then if we sell Assuming Draper increases including that assumption in here then if we sell today We would add a 3x multiple. So this is like a low-end agency multiple We would net around one or not net we would gross around 1.7 Okay, if we get a 5x multiple multiple, we gross around 2.9. And if we get a 7x multiple, we gross 4. And obviously, 10 would be like 5 or something. I don't have that written down. But any of those numbers sound good to me. [Blake Stewart]: I'm sure they do, yeah. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: So I mean, post-tax, it's more like, But still, it's fine. [Blake Stewart]: Go back to Florida or something. Better tax income. I should. Why don't you close her? [Blake Stewart]: Just drive there tonight, just to establish residence. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: But no, it'll be good. [Michael Houck]: And then we'll use some of that to talk about the fun. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: What's your next step? Yeah. [Michael Houck]: I mean, I'm buying a house first of all. Uh, so I need to do that, but I'll probably do low down payment on that so we can keep as much cash in the businesses as possible. Um, so the idea would be, yeah, basically turn the majority of that into some sort of fund. And we'd probably take some of that to incubate more of our own businesses out of it. And then the rest we would invest in, uh, like select founders. Okay. We also obviously then I need to spend some time fundraising from LPs and stuff like that too. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: So yeah. [Blake Stewart]: Okay. Private list. I can put that too. Um, what, I mean, would you go back to kind of your content expertise and use that for the companies you invest in? Like what would you, how hands-on do you want to be with these companies? [Michael Houck]: I mean, look, I think that our upside is the largest if we are a financial partner to other startups that we really like, and we invest our time heavily into building our own things and owning 100% of them basically ourselves. That's my hypothesis of where our upside is. But, you know, we'll see. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: What do you think? [Michael Houck]: I can't wait to get there. [Blake Stewart]: But yeah, I mean, it depends on the founder and the company, obviously. I don't know. It's this last like six months I've been allowed to watch because it's easier to create companies out with AI. Like people can be so lean. And like, if you're the VC partner, I mean, like you could offer just a ton of value just by talking about their company once a month. Yeah. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: I mean, well, we obviously like mentioned it in the newsletter and, and stuff and post about on social, but yeah, I think I just like building stuff too much, you know, like, yeah, I don't think I'm ever going to be someone who's like, I'm a value add No, I think I'm going to be like, I'm going to back you if I like you, and I'm going to build my own shit. I don't think that other one is me. But yeah, so we'll see where we land. Maybe we have a bunch of clients churn in the next few weeks, and we're lower than that, and we just, whatever. But it's an exciting picture kind of nonetheless. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, no, I mean, no one has to tell you I mean, it's May, like people should value content now more than ever. They're going to want to go on summer vacation and not touch anything. Like, Hey, vacation, we got your marketing and we got your content. You're going to be still here. Your digital presence is taking care of what your physical vacation. Yeah. OK, cool. I keep going back to the events, too. I don't know. I think even with a fund, there could be some play with the events of like, I don't know. [Michael Houck]: We should just redo Stonks. [Blake Stewart]: So yeah, I don't want to talk about this yet because I don't know what's going to happen. But this company, I'm thinking about getting you involved somehow. So back with Kernel, we basically took over Stonks. We worked with John, what was his last name, the founder and developer. And so we basically took over all their business and their product when they pivoted. And so this company, Supernova, worked with us on an event last year. And they're an interesting business model. It's working really well, where they match with exited founders for advisory. And so they wanted to use Kernel for like more events, top of funnel, bring in more early stage startups, showcase them, have their network, you know, watch these events and be like, oh yeah, I want to advise this company. Then Kernel kind of fell apart because we couldn't figure out a revenue. We shut it down. I met with these guys again on Monday because they were like curious what we're doing. Kind of tied like connected them with Ryan again. And so they're like potentially wanting to get kernel going again with these events Which probably won't happen because we were built on bubble and our service cost was too high and it makes sense Anyway, these guys might want to get back into events and this might make sense because these This is gonna be full of startups that have money to pay for content I don't know. I'm waiting to see how this works out. Cause I'm waiting to pitch you and be like, Hey, we can, we can hold off. [Michael Houck]: We can hold off, but I'll give you, I'll keep you in the loop, but there's, there's something playing out right now. [Blake Stewart]: I think that the big thing for me is just like, like songs was such a good idea and it worked really well. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Right? [Michael Houck]: Like we don't, we don't have to, we don't have to be like, Oh, We did a live one at Launch House LA at one point. It was like a whole big thing. But the problem was that they raised venture capital, right? And so it's like- Had like a $96 million valuation. Right. And so they had to destroy this fun thing that they built to try to go after some like secondary market thing or something. And it just, you know, their new brand was like Storks or something like that. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, no, I followed the whole thing. So yeah, so it’s like they had something cool. [Michael Houck]: And venture capital, unfortunately made it so they couldn’t. So if we can redo that, and just bootstrap it and vibe code it and just make it super simple. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, man, trust me. That was my past six months of thinking. Like we would run our events and we’d have like seven to ten million dollars of investment interest only like ten percent of that would convert but like it’s still pretty good like I don’t know everyone kind of fell apart at our company I mean ryan’s running his own firm he doesn’t care about it anymore unless it’s going to be a moonshot whatever yeah I think uh I don’t know, for me, it’s like, if you can, if you can build something, you can own it. [Michael Houck]: And it’s fun, you enjoy it. And also it makes money. It’s worth some time, you know? So we’ll see where it goes. But in terms of events, like post, post sale, if we do sell, you know, and there’s, there’s also the total chance that we don’t sell, maybe we find out this AI stuff is really easy to integrate It’s not a big hassle to the writers or to our operations. And we can actually grow a lot more because of this. Maybe we don’t, but my spidey senses are pushing me in that direction right now. [Blake Stewart]: And is that just timing? You’re not like burnt out. You’re just like, timing’s good. Growth looks good. It’s good. Multiple. [Michael Houck]: Timing’s good. And also I think just like timing’s good. I think industry wise, right? It’s like a change is happening with like AI is going to be great. More content. So we have something that where that’s not the case, we should probably, you know, not be the last dinosaur, right? But then there’s, it’s good timing for my personal life too, right? Like I’m moving to a new city. It’s, yeah, it’s just good, good for that too. So, and it lets us kind of take the business to, I think, a next level of maturity. That has been on my mind since I started it, you know, two and a half years ago, basically. [Blake Stewart]: So yeah. Cool. Okay. Time is right. [Michael Houck]: So we’ll see. We’ll see where it goes, but I’m excited about it. [Michael Houck]: And, um, yeah. [Michael Houck]: So, okay. I will chat with Blake about the webinars before you and I chat next week, and then I will also get those In the next day or two. I will send you the non post screenshots for existing clients and We’ll go from there Okay I’ll get more founder campaigns in Valley. [Blake Stewart]: I’ve set up your VC one. I’m not gonna Execute it, but we can talk about that because I think that is worth talking at some point. But yeah, webinar sounds good. HubSpot sounds good. Screenshot, testimonials, good. [Michael Houck]: It might be good to, okay, this is gonna sound weird, but it might actually be good to use some more standardized language for the VCs. Like, yes, personalization the same way, we should do that. But if we can include basically the same line after the Draper thing happens, which is like, Hey, we work with some VCs and a really big one that we work with, Forex, they’re a retainer with us after one month. [Michael Houck]: That’s going to be compelling to any principal associate or even a partner who sees that. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah, definitely. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: OK. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, that’s exciting, man. Dang. [Michael Houck]: It’s a dream project for you. [Michael Houck]: Pretty solid. But we’ll turn that into more folks, too. So it’ll be even better. Love it. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: All right. [Blake Stewart]: I think I’m good. Yeah, just sponsorships, too. Yeah, chasing loose ends on a couple of these non-regular ones who need special agreements. So thank you for signing those. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, let’s try to get The one that was 8100, you said that they pay half up front and half at the end or something, right? Yeah. Does that mean they’re going to pay the first half like this month? [Blake Stewart]: They moved it back to June. I had him, I was trying to get it into May, but [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: That’s fine. [Blake Stewart]: No big deal. Yeah. I think June like 10th or whatever, 14th. Where did that day go? Yeah, June 14th is when they want to start. [Michael Houck]: Okay, cool. That’s fine. So then we’ll look out for it before then. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [Blake Stewart]: And then, yeah, I’m pushing one for Tuesday. They said they wanted to run last week, and now they’re just being slow. So we should have a future placement for next Tuesday for 3000, which would be good. Lined up ready to pay. [Michael Houck]: So just you’re like the master of tool of the week. It’s crazy, man I love it. It’s like I never worry about tool of the week because it’s always it’s always going to be there Hey, knock on wood. [Blake Stewart]: See yeah, yeah, of course, of course, um, but And then yeah, uh deep view link still waiting on that that should come up over any day now. Okay. [Michael Houck]: And tech Leo, they’re just doing a tool. [Michael Houck]: They don’t want to do a featured. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah. I pushed featured, but, um, my last email was like my soonest tool of the week is in like two months or whatever, July. So, uh, if you want to do like a featured next week and then a tool of the week, if you want to bundle them, I can give you a discount. So try it up. So we’ll see what happens. [Michael Houck]: Cool. And just, just for visibility for you. So if I look at the last seven days for our ads, um, what is this? How many are we adding? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay. [Michael Houck]: So we’re adding right now, like 600 new subs a week from ads. Uh, but once I get data and also we’re adding then like the 300 that we’re importing. So like you can say roughly, cause we get some Recommendations to roughly a thousand subscribers a week. We’re adding right now cool once I get data from our Like welcome sequence partners. I’ll be able to have a better sense of like here’s how much we’re recouping per sub and therefore increase the budget by X amount for ads, so in June, I would imagine that we’ll be able to Increase that budget quite a bit, especially if we start to see some Some people book calls for content from it. Cool. [Blake Stewart]: Yeah, that would be great if that worked. Yeah, I guess I had a couple of questions about the tweet scraper and how those segments were working and looking in Behive, like if they’re staying subscribed or if they’re just unsubscribing. [Michael Houck]: That’s a good point. Do we have a segment for that? Let me see. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: I don’t know what rain is. [Michael Houck]: We do. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: We do. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Oh, no. [Michael Houck]: You know what? It’s just for the first batch we have it for. So the first batch that we imported was like a bigger batch. It was like 1,700 or something. And that was like two months ago. And so in two months, our unsubscribe rate from that batch is 15%, which is actually lower than I would have thought. Click rate is actually very good. It’s 3.4%. [Blake Stewart]: This was definitely Tweetscraper, not my kernel subs? This is definitely Tweetscraper. [Michael Houck]: I linked the Google Sheet in the segment. Let me just open it up to be 1,000% sure. Yeah, this is Tweetscraper, 1,000%. So click rate is good. The open rate is really bad. It’s 26%. [Blake Stewart]: I was noticing that’s kind of falling off. [Michael Houck]: Well, there’s something going on with our routing right now. I have a message out to the Beehive team to take a look at it because it’s been, it’s dragged us down for like almost two months at this point. It happened once before like a year and a half ago. So they just probably need to do something on their end. Okay. I looked at like various like domain health tools and everything’s fine. Our domain is totally fine. So it has to be something on their end. [Blake Stewart]: Okay, that’s good. Dang, all right, that’s great about Tweetscraper. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, it’s a viable channel, I would say, with the low unsubs and the high click rate. Even though the open rate is lower, I think keeping throwing it in the mix makes sense. [Blake Stewart]: Okay, cool. The only other thing was kind of chasing down a Athena replacement with offshore. Ben had reached out to Oceans, Austin Reefs company, and they threw out more of just a commission, like $1K for any converts. I don't know if we want to consider. [Michael Houck]: Because we have that with Athena already. So if we want to fill something with that, we should just do it. Oh, we still have that? OK, cool. Yeah. But there are probably other smaller ones that there's so many companies that are doing this. Yeah, I've reached out to like 15. OK. Yeah, maybe we find one of those that wants to do it. And obviously, there's a strong pitch. Athena, I mean, Athena has worked worked with us for a year and a half. And they've spent, let me actually get the exact number here for you. It's like some ridiculous amount that they spent with us. OK. [Blake Stewart]: Well, then maybe I won't push too hard because there's a chance they come back in a month. No. [Michael Houck]: We can negotiate with them at that point if they want to come back and force out whoever we found as a replacement. We shouldn't sit and wait for them. But yeah, so they did ghostwriting with us, too. So this isn't just ads. But if you combine it all together, they spent like $83,000 with us. Not bad. No, not bad. So people in this segment, we can just say that we have We’ve had success because they’ve kept coming back. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [Blake Stewart]: I was using the phrase that we overwhelmed them with demand. [Michael Houck]: That works. OK. Some of these notion things that I’m looking at are weird. But yeah. OK. Cool. If anything else comes up, just let me know. But not yet. And number one thing, let’s just pump that growth machine as much as we can.
