[Michael Houck]: If you lose me for any reason, just know that’s why I’m here. How you doing? [Yasser Elsaid]: Good, good. How are you? [Michael Houck]: Yeah, good. Good, good. Just got back to the US from Brazil. So enjoying the get back here. [Yasser Elsaid]: Yeah. Yeah, not sure if you… Did I put a request? Did I put a message saying what I need or no? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: I forgot. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, so this is about our… I’m trying to remember if I put info about my company or not. But I can tell you more about what I need. So I have this company called Chadbase. [Yasser Elsaid]: We do AI support agents for businesses. And I need content for LinkedIn specifically. I talked with Mary Nova. I’m not sure if you know her. She’s a, she’s a, she’s a, she’s Like I sent her to LinkedIn, but she recommended you guys. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Oh, cool. [Yasser Elsaid]: Great. Yeah. So, uh, yeah, like what I need is mostly like technical content, um, about like AI, rag, uh, and business stuff. Like how to use, I don’t know, cursor, winter, that type of thing. Um, yeah, that’s mostly, and then like maybe, some of the content would be like trying to get people to convert to my like AI chatbot solution. But I think mostly for now is just content to get like engagement and followers. Got it. [Michael Houck]: So primary goal is social media, brand building, audience building. And then secondary goal is drive people down the funnel to actually use the product. [Yasser Elsaid]: Yeah, exactly. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay, cool. [Michael Houck]: That makes sense. We have a bunch of clients in the AI space. And so we have writers who are sort of familiar with it. So I could definitely help out with that. Would it help if I give some context on us and sort of our process and all that? Yeah, please. Okay, cool. So basically, I built my own audience up to 100k across LinkedIn and X. And then I have a newsletter that goes out to 75,000 founders every week. My partner in the agency is Blakey mall, he’s got an even bigger audience than I do. And I think we’re the only agency that’s actually day-to-day operated by actual creators themselves. Most of these other content agencies you might see are, you know, maybe they have a creator as an investor or on their advisory board or something like that, but we’re actually in the trenches with the team. So the way we work, we work with founders, so it’s pretty simple. We’re not trying to put any meetings on your calendar or anything like that. We’ll only do one kickoff call at the beginning. It’ll be you, me, and the writer that we match with you. That writer or sort of become your thought partner, download your brain and be with you every step of the way. It’s not like we put your content into a pool and have whoever’s free kind of pick it out. You have your partner. After that kickoff call where we’re sort of go deep on content pillars, formats you like, accounts you have the kind of voice that you’re looking to go after that we can use inspiration from, and like who the audience is and what their concerns are, what their cares are, things like that. Once we get all that info during the call, to kick off, every Monday we’ll have a shared Slack channel and we’ll set up, we’ll send over like a couple ideas that we’re thinking about for that week and like specific questions about those ideas. You know, things that came up during our research that we want your expertise on. And so we will then, what we ask of you is that you reply to that with like a rambly voice note, like two, three minutes, something like that. We just get your unique take. If we get that from you by midweek, it’ll be incorporated into the batch of content that week, and we’ll get to you by the end of the week. So pretty simple, all happens in Slack and Notion. We work to get a couple of weeks ahead, so we’re not always approving content for the next week and stressed out or anything like that. But we have a content calendar that we use. We also have a content ops guy on our team who handles things like replying to thought leaders in your niche to get some free profile views and impression from their content, engaging with the comments of the stuff we post on your page, optimizing your profile. And we also have a designer on staff who can create screenshot essays, infographics, if you want to go that route. It depends on what content form you decide on. But yeah, that’s pretty much the service and how it works. [Yasser Elsaid]: OK, yeah. I mean, that sounds good. That’s what I need. The main thing is the quality of the content. Because what I need is stuff on the technical side. A lot of it is like, like educational, like best ways to do rag or like stuff like that because that tends to do well on LinkedIn. I would probably need the design because like carousels and stuff like that also do well. But like the most important thing I think is like, it’s not cringy. You know what I mean? Like, I think even if something would like do well like I got reviews, I think it’s important for me to not have it be cringy. [Michael Houck]: We got to strike that balance between, you know, going after engagement as much as possible while also sort of building your brand in the space, your personal space. [Yasser Elsaid]: So I mean, everything you said sounds good, but the main thing is like, I need the quality to be good for me to like, uh, like, I mean, it’s, if this works out, I would commit for a long time, probably. What would be the best setup to see if we should move forward or not? [Michael Houck]: Yeah, so we don’t have any long-term lock-in or anything like that. The only thing we’ll ask is sort of 30-day cancellation notice. So effectively, when you sign up, you’re signing up for two months because of that. But that’s it. No long-term lock-in. So what I can is I’ll dive deep into the content that I think might be of interest to you. You also could send me some examples if you have things like, oh, I really like that guy’s content or something like that. And then our writing team, I’ll be like, you know, there are a few people who I think in my head would already be a good fit for this, but I’ll just sort of sanity check that with them. And then next steps from there. Once you know, one of them was like, yeah, let’s do it. We’d move forward. I send you a straight link. And if you want to do sort of the full account takeover, we’re posting you know, daily content and doing the ops that I mentioned and everything like that, that’s 3k a month. If you just say, Hey, I just want a couple posts a week, you know, maybe one or two longer form and one or two shorter forms, smaller batches, uh, that would just be 2k a month and there wouldn’t be any ops support on that. So two to three K that’s the, that’s the different more content and ops, uh, like engaging with the thought leaders, replying to your stuff, optimize file, things like that. [Yasser Elsaid]: So another thing in the AI space, like maybe yesterday 3.7 was launched and like you got all of these people talking about it. So sometimes you need to like, it’s an emergency. You need to like write something now because if you write something like two days from now, it’s not going to do as well. So how do you, can I expect that? Can I expect like if something big happens, I can get like something quickly? [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I mean, sometimes if you want something out, like that minute, it’s always gonna be quicker for you to throw a quick opinion up on LinkedIn yourself, right? Not gonna beat that. But if you get to something early in the morning, you say, Hey, I want to post something about this later today, then just throw a link to the topic in Slack, or like the news article or whatever it is. And we’ll get to work on it. We have a process to handle sort of trending topics. It’s a standard part of Okay, and directors are technicians? Yes, I mean, they’re not engineers, but they know the AI space. [Yasser Elsaid]: But I mean, like, can they… Like, prompting is easy, like, they go to, like, I don’t know, Cloud, and then try GPT, see the same, like, code performance on boats. They don’t have to, like, code, like, an entire website, but, like, the content I know I want to make is actually for non-coders on, like, how they can use AI to do this and this and this. So you need to put in the effort. You need to actually try hard to make something work with those AI tools. So you don’t have to be an engineer, but you have to spend time trying to figure this out. So that’s something that I think is important. Yeah, I mean, look, they’re never going to be as much of an expert on that as you are. [Michael Houck]: But their job is to immerse themselves in the niche. And as I said, we already have AI clients who’ve asked us this type of content. So they’ve been, you know, at least a few of them have been already doing this. But yeah, I think the first month or so will basically be they’ll be downloading your brain, they’ll be researching, getting immersed in the niche, and seeing what type of content you want, what that level of fidelity of technical detail is, because every client, you know, people say they want technical content, some people are like, I want engineer focused content, I want non engineer focused content, different levels of altitude. So we need to learn your preferences. But the TLDR is that it’s not outside the scope of what we can do. [Yasser Elsaid]: Okay. Excellent. So what would be the next step? Can I see some of maybe the things you did for AI? It doesn’t have to be on the person’s LinkedIn page, but maybe on your own page or like any other page or like a Notion document with example posts? [Michael Houck]: Yeah, sure. I’m happy to do that 100%. Can send you some anonymized screenshots. I just, I always have to say, cause clients will ask for this, but it’s, it’s what we make for one client is based on their preferences and their voice. Yours are going to be different. And so when I show an example and someone’s like, Oh, I would never post that. Well, of course you wouldn’t. It’s for somebody else. Right. So I hesitate to like take any takeaways away from that stuff, but I’m happy to share it. [Yasser Elsaid]: Um, I mean, yeah, yeah, we can. I just want to see like maybe some of like the AI stuff. I’m not, yeah, I’m not gonna like judge the style of writing, but maybe like the quality of the content or like, yeah, the content itself. [Michael Houck]: Cool, okay, so next steps, I will chat with a few people on the team, see who has bandwidth to take this on, and I’ll get back to you over email. In the meantime, if you could send me a couple accounts of people who sort of have that level of altitude of technical depth that you want, that’ll help me send over the right example. [Yasser Elsaid]: So if you could do that, that’d be great. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [Michael Houck]: You can just send me, you can just send me over, over email. [Yasser Elsaid]: It’s the same email on this day. It is fine. So what is it? Here we go. Thank you so much. [Michael Houck]: Cool. Thanks. Awesome. [Yasser Elsaid]: Talk more soon, man.
