[Walid Mohammed]: Hey, Michael. What’s up, man? [Michael Houck]: How you doing? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Good. [Walid Mohammed]: How are you doing? [Michael Houck]: I’m good. The Eagles won the Super Bowl. I’m from Philly, so can’t be too bothered by anything today. [Walid Mohammed]: That’s awesome. How are you? [Michael Houck]: Where are you right now? In New York or what? [Walid Mohammed]: I’m good. [Michael Houck]: I’m in Dallas. Oh, nice. I actually will be in Dallas in What three weeks? [Walid Mohammed]: Yeah, like three weeks. Oh nice. What for? [Michael Houck]: I’m living there and a few other places. So I’m uh, I’m just kind of checking different cities out. I’m doing Nashville too. Um, I’m doing Austin, but I’m kind of bearish on Austin. So, um, yeah, just checking out some places. [Walid Mohammed]: It’s boring out here. Depends on what you want. If you’re looking to like settle down, start a family, I think amazing. Otherwise I just think the biggest thing that’s lacking is like that, um, Like startups last greater community. I like them. Yes. I like LA or New York. [Michael Houck]: I mean Yeah, I think I’m looking to find a nice Southern girl Christian girl and start a family. So that’s the So, yeah, we’ll see I’m gonna check it out check Nashville out check a few other places but yeah, okay, so I don’t want to take up too much of your time. I’m chatting with Blake today, just to confirm internally how he feels about things too, because he’s across the whole writing team. But high level, I totally hear the concern. Andrew, the other writer, is in. He’s down to help out. I’m waiting to hear back from him on how quickly he could start. But I feel pretty good about that if you want to keep it rolling. [Walid Mohammed]: Yeah. Let’s finish. Out for now. I’m just like, I guess in my head, it’s like, cool, if I take another chance on this, and then like, I don’t see the results, I would feel a bit iffy about it, then I have to wait until the end of the month to cancel for another 30 days. That’s where I’m just like, it doesn’t really feel like the risk is worth it in my head, at least. Well, we could we could do it. [Michael Houck]: I mean, since you basically already notified and you have already notified us that you want to cancel, we could basically run the one month without the required 30 days notice. And we just say, you’ll let us know if this is working out or not, and we’ll call. And also I set that expectation with Andrew, so he sort of has that going in too. So that would be what we can do. If that’s still sort of too much risk to put forward, I totally get it. Early stage business, you kind of prioritize your cashflow. I get it. [Walid Mohammed]: But that’s what we’d be able to do. Got it. Do you guys? I know this is like, I’m an agency owner too, so I get it. So like, it’s not easy to do these structures, but are you, would you do anything like one-off, one-off or one-on months than one-off? Or do you prefer just like consistent, like, Hey, we want to keep this going ongoing. And I asked that because, you know, I think the past two months has been good. I’m getting a bunch of inbound. Um, but I feel like now I want to maintain that and like pause on growing the business for until I get these all. [Michael Houck]: Up today. I see what you’re saying. You’re like, I’ve got new clients coming in I got to make sure they’re set up for success. So I didn’t yeah, you don’t want to overwhelm yourself We haven’t done that with anyone It would come down to the writer it come down if they’re if they’re up to do it So I could again in with Andrew today and see if that works for him I’m not ideologically opposed to it though. [Walid Mohammed]: Yeah, that’d be awesome to get check with him Because yeah, I’m like happy with I think what helps a lot is the consistency 10 days doing and then like out of that like one will get or I’m just like top of mind for my existing followers. They see me at the top of their feed Plus so like a lot of like people from the past have been like reaching out So, yeah, I mean that would be ideal if we could if you could have that [Michael Houck]: out there cool with that Okay, let me check in with him today And I can follow up with you by tomorrow. But it sounds like you are seeing leads come in, which is, which is good. [Walid Mohammed]: Yeah, yeah, it’s good. It’s like whenever those tweets hit off, like it. [Michael Houck]: Okay, we’ll try and make this work for you. Then let me chat internally with the with the folks and I’ll get back to you. But yeah, not not ideologically opposed to finding a way to make it work for you too. [Walid Mohammed]: Sweet. That sounds awesome. And then one more question. Do you have tips I mean, I feel like I might encounter this problem again. So maybe part of it is on me. But for very niche knowledge, where it requires breakdown stuff, how do you approach that? [Michael Houck]: Yeah, I mean, it’s a scale, right? Some clients, all they ask us for is just keep me top of mind for people, talk about trending topics, put a bunch of short, foreign tweets out there from the account, more about like that resonance with my existing or slightly larger audience. And then there’s other people who are like, I need to use this to grow. I need to use it to get customers on that first side of the spectrum. It tends to be that we can just go a hundred percent async through Slack with folks who are sort of moving towards that second side of the spectrum. That’s where sort of the voice notes tend to do tend to help. And then content interviews, like actual recurring calls are the are you we need those to be client driven we’re never going to force those down your throat but um that that tends to help there too so honestly that’s most of it and then just kind of having the writer know not just what your knowledge is from those sort of voice notes or interviews but also like where you go to find things I mean it seems like you’re doing that with teme already so I think you’re doing the right things there um so that’s why I I will explore Andrew and see if he could be a better fit. [Walid Mohammed]: Yeah. Okay, cool. Yeah, that sounds good. Um, cool. It’s gonna be posted. Anything else on your end? [Michael Houck]: I don’t think so. Um, I’m gonna hit you up for for Rex in Dallas because I, uh, my dad is from Dallas, but I haven’t been there since I was a kid. So I know nothing about it whatsoever. So I’m gonna I’m gonna hit you up for some Rex for sure. [Walid Mohammed]: Yes, yes, I got you. Let me know when you’re here. [Michael Houck]: Cool. All right, man. I’ll talk to you probably tomorrow then. [Walid Mohammed]: Okay. Sounds good. I’ll see you.
