[Amit Singh]: Hi Max, how are you? Good, how are you? All good, all good. So, Kuan is also joining, who is my co-founder. Okay. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Great. [Max Palmer]: Hi, Kunwar. Hi, Max. How are you? Good. How are you? [Kunwar Raj]: Good, good. Just one second. Yes. I have Amit also with me on call and everyone as well. [Max Palmer]: Okay, great. So everyone’s here? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yes. Yes. [Max Palmer]: Okay. Awesome. Well, thank you guys for booking the Megafone meeting. I would love to start just by hearing how you guys heard about us and why you’re interested in Megafone. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Got it. [Kunwar Raj]: So I’m the founder of a company called Superpen and we built a platform where we are helping creators with content creation on LinkedIn. So basically we’ve curated a lot of viral posts, templates and creators who can act as inspiration for posts on LinkedIn. So similar to Taplio, the product that we have. And we have around 3,000 users who are using the product. We launched last month, so got around 100 paid users as well. So we heard from you from a few of our creators who have been acting as commenters on your platform. So I spoke to one of them today. So I was signing up on the website, so I saw your chat with the founder plugins. I wanted to understand if there’s a way where we can collaborate on a deeper level. Is that possible where this could be offered as a service to our customers somehow? [Max Palmer]: Potentially. So I’m not one of the founders. I’m the chief of staff. But there might be a route where could be offered to your customers. We use it, you know, there’s a lot of ghostwriting agencies that we partner with. And I know you guys are different than a ghostwriting agency, but yeah, we’ve partnered with ghostwriting agencies and they, I mean, they, you know, they pay for the product. So, but we’ve definitely partnered with them. So, you know, there could be a route. How would you want it to work if we were to partner together? [Kunwar Raj]: So we were also, we also did a lot of ghostwriting prior to launching the product. So one of our customers also started using a service similar to yours or probably yours. That’s what we noticed. And, uh, so I was like, I didn’t have a way of partnering with you, but I was thinking in a way where it could be like similar to what, what you’ve done, uh, where the person puts their URL and adds it to the wallet. Like that’s what, I haven’t used the product, but I just let the product flow and I talked to one of the users. So some, somewhere where it could, where you could expose your API or something on a B2B level where it could happen on an automated way. [Max Palmer]: Yeah. So I can chat with, with Halk, our founder. About it. Um, you know, we, the way we partner with ghostwriting agencies is they, they, they pay full price. Um, and then if they have additional clients, um, they get each additional megaphone account for $39 a month, um, which is cheaper than just, you know, one, one account, which is either 49 a month or 89 a month. Um, so if you have, you know, customers, um, for every additional customer, they can use the product for $39 a month. So we have that option. In terms of, yeah, I don’t know if there’s any way to, you mentioned the API. I’m not sure about that. I’m not a developer, so I’m not sure how that works. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [Kunwar Raj]: Where are most of your users based? So currently it’s in India. Then we have a few users in UAE and expanding to UK and the US as well. So that’s how we have started the product with. Max wanted to understand a little bit about how it works. Can you tell us as well how the product works? [Max Palmer]: So how it works is we have over 400 creators on the platform and then we have hundreds of more users. Who use the platform to get engagement from creators. So it’s a creator engagement marketplace. The users are, you know, people who are looking to build their accounts on either Twitter or LinkedIn or both. And the creators are, you know, creators in a variety of different spaces. We have a couple dozen niches covered by these creators and these creators have tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of followers and they’re all verified you know, real followers. And these creators engage with the user’s content. And when I say engage, it typically means they’re going to comment on their posts because that’s the highest form of engagement. When big accounts comment on your post, it boosts that post in the algorithm and it amplifies it so that more people see it. And then hopefully you get more followers, more engagement, more leads, whatever it is you’re looking for. So that’s how it works in a nutshell. It’s a, very simple product. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Got it. [Kunwar Raj]: And like, if some if I buy a subscription of your product, let’s say for $49, in that case, as as a person who wants to boost their profile, so I can just post the link and you'll give me engagement or like or does the does every post has to be boosted differently? [Max Palmer]: How to Yeah, you submit whichever post you want to boost. Once you post that on Twitter and LinkedIn, you'll then submit that post to Megaphone within your dashboard. And then if you're on the $49 a month plan, we’ll send that post to creators an hour after you send it to us. If you’re on the $89 a month plan, we'll send that post to creators immediately as soon as you send it to us. And then we send it to creators based off three criteria. So first and foremost, we want to send it to creators that are in your niche. So when you're on board, when you onboard onto megaphone, you'll pick three different categories that you want creators to engage with you. Um, based on those three categories, we'll allocate your post to creators that are in those niches. So that way you have someone who's relevant commenting on it. And then, um, We want to send it to creators that are online at the time you're posting so that they can engage right away. And third, we're going to maximize your budget on a cost to follower ratio. So besides the subscription to use the platform, you also have to pay, you have to set a budget for each post. And that's the money that goes to paying the creators. So on average, people spend around $30 per post to amplify their posts. And then creators charge their own amounts. So we have, typically creators will raise their prices by $10 for every hundred thousand followers they have. So for example, we have a creator with 370,000 followers and they charge $35 for an engagement. Whereas we have other creators with 50,000 followers and they might only charge five or $10 for an engagement. Engagement. [Kunwar Raj]: So to use the platform, I have to pay the subscription fee. And typically, like if I paid $30 for a post, what is the kind of engagement that the post gets? [Max Palmer]: Yeah, it totally depends. But typically, it’ll get at least a few different engagements. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: OK. [Kunwar Raj]: I mean, by few, you mean like 10 to 15 comments, more than that? [Max Palmer]: It definitely won’t get 10 15 comments if your budget is only $30. Like three, three to five. [Aaryaman Singh]: And what about likes and reposts? Is there a particular benchmark that you that that you compare this with? [Max Palmer]: For say that again, for like, I'm saying, say $30. [Aaryaman Singh]: What’s the average likes, comments and reposts? [Max Palmer]: What are the I don’t have those metrics for you. It totally varies. So the biggest variable is the quality of your content. So more important than anything, more important than the amplification you’re going to get from Megafone, the most important thing for somebody posting is the quality of their content. If their content is not good, Megafone won’t make it perform well. Megafone, however, will make good content perform better. [Amit Singh]: If possible, can you take us through the product like you can screen share and take us through the couple of steps that you have mentioned? [Max Palmer]: Yeah. [Max Palmer]: All right, can you see this? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yes. Yeah. [Max Palmer]: OK. So this is what the product looked like, When you have a new post to broadcast, you’ll just click this button. You’ll pick which account you’re amplifying from You’ll copy the URL for the tweet or the post. And then you will click how you want people to engage. Typically, a comment is best, as you can see here. You can also ask creators to repost or to repost with a quote. But occasionally, they don’t always do that. And then you set your budget here. And then here, you provide context for how you want them to comment so that they can comment something relevant. So that’s how it works in a nutshell. And then you’ll be able to see your metrics here for your different posts. And you also see a balance here. So if you allocate, let’s say, $50 as a budget, but only $35 are used, the remaining $15 will remain in your balance to be used on a feature post. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Got it. Understood. [Kunwar Raj]: So let's say, for example, I have around 65,000 followers on LinkedIn. I can decide my price on your platform if I sign up as one of the commenters. Yes, you can. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Understood. [Kunwar Raj]: And is there any risk of LinkedIn detecting it as an engagement pod and banning the account? [Max Palmer]: No, there's no way. No way they can know and know it hasn't happened. [Kunwar Raj]: Got it. We have seen a lot of people who run engagement pods and their account getting banned on LinkedIn. Okay. It hasn't happened. Is the pricing same for LinkedIn and Twitter? [Max Palmer]: If you want to create a second account, The second account is $39 a month. [Kunwar Raj]: So in one account, I’ll get access to one LinkedIn and one Twitter profile? [Max Palmer]: No, it’s either or. So if you want both of them, then you’ll have to pay an additional $39 a month for your LinkedIn account. [Kunwar Raj]: Got it. Understood. This is clear. Any other questions? That you have? No, I think that’s pretty clear. Max, if it’s possible, can you talk to your founder and discuss if something can be done on the B2B plan also? Like if there’s a way where we can partner on a deeper level? Yeah, potentially. [Max Palmer]: I mean, I’ll definitely talk with him, but there potentially might be a way to partner. So basically, do you guys just want to offer this to your customers? [Kunwar Raj]: So we were thinking of make like, so we have three plans, right? So we were thinking if we can add it to our top plan, blend in your pricing or something like that and expose it to our customers so that way you also get more customers from us. And we can also offer an additional service that probably a lot of our clients might need. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah. [Max Palmer]: Okay. Um, I’ll chat with them and, um, and we can be in touch over email. [Kunwar Raj]: Yes. Sounds good. Thank you so much for your time. Thank you. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Absolutely. [Kunwar Raj]: Thanks guys. Talk soon.
