Where are your base? I’m in New York. [Michael Houck]: What about you? [auke]: Oh, nice. I’m in Lima, Peru. Oh, nice. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: I actually, I didn’t realize our call was scheduled for today. It’s a, it’s a big holiday here in the US. [auke]: Oh, sorry. No problem. So we can reschedule. No, no problem at all. [Michael Houck]: We’re already on the call. It’s no problem at all. We’re not doing anything family-wise. Happy Thanksgiving, man. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: What’s that? [auke]: Happy Thanksgiving. Oh, yeah. Yeah, all good. [Michael Houck]: But yeah, I was in Lima actually a couple years ago. We did Cusco. We did Lima. We did a bunch of other stuff. Obviously, we did Machu Picchu and everything. But yeah, really fell in love with the food. [auke]: Nice. Yeah, it’s like I came to Peru. Because my wife is Peruvian and she did her master degree in Holland and I’m from Holland. And now I end up, I live here 10 years, you know, the love brought me to Peru. Well, I worked for South America companies and I was able to meet your friends, you know, in an event. I tend to have a background of growth or I help companies grow. And he told me about the newsletters, what you guys do, and I thought, ah, that’s freaking Looking awesome. I want to know more, so that’s why we hopped on a call. But I have two questions, and maybe it was also able to do in WhatsApp. It’s only English, the newsletter you guys can make, or also another language? [Michael Houck]: Right now, all the writers we have are English. It doesn’t mean we couldn’t find somebody. We just have to vet them first. It might take a little while to get them set up. [auke]: Yeah, I can understand. Because I wrote my own book based on how to grow and stuff in Spanish because there’s too little information in Spanish. So there’s like a niche, but on the other hand, it’s not as big as if you go English. If you go English, you have like millions of millions of people that you can reach. And if you go Spanish, it is also not a huge opportunity, but there’s like sub niche. And the idea was talk about crypto because like I have like a lot of like I love to buy domains. So I have so much domains and I thought, well, now I need to do something on crypto. Last week’s was really hard or like a lot of business and other stuff. So I need to also focus. So I just wanted to know, like, if we do this, I just triggered a service and it’s there or how many times people are in if they hire you on effort on their side? [Michael Houck]: Oh, you mean like how much effort would be on you versus how much would we be able to take on? Yes. Yeah, so our process is geared towards like founders, builders, because that’s what we are. So it’s pretty lightweight on your end. What I would say is that there’d be one kickoff call where we need to spend like, you know, 45 to 60 minutes just sort of walking through the voice, the target, all that kind of stuff, maybe walk through how to set up the sort of welcome sequence that people would get when they sign up, and other little details. But after that, it’s very hands off. The only thing that we would need from you is like, if we send you questions in a Slack channel, we would ask you to respond with a voice note, just like talk for a minute or two, give us your subject matter expertise, and then we take it from there. [auke]: That’s it. Okay, okay. Then I think the crypto newsletter is another good one. Because I like I love it, but I’m not an expert and maybe we can figure out because I’m planning for next year. I have my own consultant company and it goes well. So most probably a newsletter will be one of the things that I can focus on, but it will be Spanish written and there’s like a huge opportunity in this market also in South America. So that’s all the only things. Okay. And I saw the pricing So they are clear. So it’s kickoff call and then select channel response and that’s it. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: And I mean, just to be clear, like we would also do a bunch of our own research outside of what you give us. Like if you’re like, Hey, I don’t have any subject matter expertise on this. I just want you guys to sort of create this based on what you do research on. That’s already included in what we do. We just like to get the voice notes from people so that they can add their unique voice. So it kind of sort of Content from you. [auke]: That’s really what that comes down to Maybe like I like to do a lot of stuff But I also learn to focus we have three kids so I also want to be with more kids Those were my basic questions I had Michael sorry if I interrupted your day today No, no, no. [Michael Houck]: It’s still early in the day. We haven’t gone to any gatherings or anything like that yet. So no worries at all. So yeah, I guess this would be for the crypto newsletter. I can follow up with just like, hey, here’s what we went over. And if you want to sign up, we’d love to work with you. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Yeah, great. [auke]: And there’s no problem with Spanish, no? That’s what I understand. No, we could find somebody. [Michael Houck]: It would just take a, you know, we’d have to vet So there’d be like a little bit of a waiting period to vet them. [auke]: Ah, no problem. Okay. So, um, okay, cool. Um, great. Um, no, no, no further questions. So you, you tell me a bit more about Thanksgiving because in Holland we don’t do Thanksgiving. So what’s the typical Thanksgiving you go with family? [Michael Houck]: Yeah, it’s, it’s a big family day. Lots of Turkey. Um, you know, uh, uh, all sorts of different foods. Sometimes, people bring their own food but usually someone’s cooking a big turkey in the oven and that’s the that’s the main thing every every family sort of has their own recipe for gravy and stuffing and so those are the [auke]: those are the treasured family secrets okay great well I hope you enjoy it in New York it’s your family yeah yeah okay well enjoy and we’ll just have contact through email or or other channels.
