[prestontroutt]: Hey, man, how’s it going? [Michael Houck]: Yo, yo, what’s up, prestontroutt? How you doing, man? [prestontroutt]: Doing good, man. Doing good. I was, uh, well, what was I doing this week? I was out of town for like two weeks in upstate New York for a while and then kind of back now. So. [Michael Houck]: For family or vacation or what’s going on? [prestontroutt]: It was with family. I mean, I was just working from there, but there’s like a horse racing meet that goes for like eight weeks of the summer. And so was out there for that, which is always kind of a really fun time. [Michael Houck]: That’s dope. Um, haven’t followed horse racing that much in a while, but I used to follow a lot when I was a kid, actually. I know you, what you were doing before this too, right? [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Exactly. [prestontroutt]: Yeah. Yeah. We’re breaking up the ownership to horses. Um, still, still, we still are, uh, But yeah, it’s pretty cool, man. It’s a fun sport. It’s fun to be a part of I mean, a day at the races is unlike anything else, in my opinion. It beats any other sport. [Michael Houck]: I got to go to the track. We got Beaumont up here, so I should. Yeah. Heck yeah. [prestontroutt]: Why did you follow it so much when you were a kid? [Michael Houck]: just with my dad, you know, it was like the story of secretary. It was like a big deal for him when he was younger. Uh, and like the, you know, Seabiscuit and all that too, but really secretary, it’s just. Absolute impressiveness and like unbeatability. It was like a big, a big thing for him. So he showed me all those, the old footage. And then we used to watch the, at least triple crown and a few other races together every year, never went to one of the tracks, but, um, you know, it was a big thing that we did. [prestontroutt]: Dude, that’s awesome, man. That’s fun. Yeah, it was good. Yeah. [Michael Houck]: Well, I don’t want to take up too much of your time, especially now that you’re getting back. But I guess I want to throw it to you and just like, you know, how are things going on your end? I took a look at the account. Seems like performance is good, especially considering follower size. Saw some good followers in there like Tyler Dank and Justin Gordon and some other folks. So, yeah, I just want to get a sense of how you’re feeling about where we’re at. [prestontroutt]: Yeah, definitely. No, I feel good. I have such a backlog right now, you know, to like kind of start cranking out that is one thing. I think, you know, it’s interesting because on the the megaphone is doing really well on the LinkedIn side, which is interesting. That is on the Twitter side. Not as much because that first post of the thread there, the engagement is way up. And then it’s a huge drop off after that, which is interesting. I wasn’t fully realizing that cause I haven’t tracked it as much. I kind of post and then I’ll like, I’ll comment. But it was interesting because it seemed like it was really working on the Twitter, on the LinkedIn side. [Michael Houck]: Interesting. I can take a look at the, like the data that we see on the account and see if there’s any like learnings or patterns or things like that. We see it working. You know, pretty much the same across Twitter and LinkedIn in general, but maybe certain accounts do better on different platforms. I guess the question for you then would be, if we’re feeling more excited about LinkedIn, do we want to start writing the content with LinkedIn in mind first and then adapting it to Twitter rather than the other way around? [prestontroutt]: I think, well, potentially. I’ve thought about that. I think LinkedIn has been a bigger, I would say emphasis and I’ve seen more value coming from that side. So I guess right now, are we all caught up on them? [Michael Houck]: Yes. So I took a look at this earlier today. So far we’ve delivered 30 threads. So 10 weeks of content, basically. Slightly less than like two and a half months worth. And then we have our like the two weeks sort of like ramp up period at the beginning. Um, usually we try to build up a two week backlog at some point anyway, but I think because James had some like family stuff that was going on by the time we got to the point we were going to catch up, you know, we were already had a backlog. So we didn’t add that on now, but, um, usually we add that on an ongoing basis. You always have two weeks ahead and it’s not like an editing process week to week. So yes, we have delivered. About two and a half months of content plus that two week period. So basically we’re worth three months in is the way I’m thinking about it. Okay. Yeah. Cool. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Okay. [prestontroutt]: Yeah. Cause I was like, cause I’ve got a pretty big backlog right now. So I was thinking, I mean, just to conserve on my side, I know that would mean we’re not writing right now, but keep it paused. I’m going to start kind of rocking some of these and then I’d probably just follow up again. Um, I’m kind of next steps from there. I know that’s like kind of murky next steps. Uh, No. [Michael Houck]: So I guess what I would say is we, we didn’t charge you for August, so you’ve paid for two months. And so what I would say is you have the next renewal date coming up September 2nd. So the easiest thing to do would just be to let that ride so that we’re caught up for the three months that we’ve delivered basically. And then we restart before October 2nd, then we just kind of keep rolling with it. [prestontroutt]: Okay, okay, gotcha. So I guess, okay, so what you’re saying is you’ve already done work that you haven’t necessarily been paid for? Yeah, correct. And then, okay, okay, yeah. Okay, and then so we can do, and then so I guess by the end of this, we would be to, you would say you’d renew it September? [Michael Houck]: Yeah, let’s assume we throw, If we can, if you want, we don’t have to, if you want, we can throw an additional week of content in for this week or not. But either way, what would make the most sense is to let the renewal happen on September 2nd. And then we make a decision. Basically, are we able to get caught up in September to the point where we need new content for October? If not, we keep that pause and restart that at some point in October, November. If we don’t catch, if we do catch up by then, then we just let it ride. [prestontroutt]: Okay, cool. All right. Yeah, that works for me. [Michael Houck]: Okay, cool. Sounds good. Um, then that was the main action item unknown on my side. Uh, but I think James and Ramesh, I think of both, uh, they both really love writing about this, like niche. So it’s, uh, yeah, they’re, they’re eager to chop at the bed for sure. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, cool, man. Yeah, Ramesh seems like he’s been on it. I’ve seen a couple come in. So cool. [Michael Houck]: Yeah, he’s done. He does a lot of good research. He’s like a thread specialist, like James, I think, you know, can do any type of content, newsletters, you can do blogs. Ramesh is somebody who does really, really good with like the social media stuff. So that’s what we have to focus on. [prestontroutt]: Oh, man, I like it. OK. Sweet, all right, well, that works for me. I’m all about that. And so, yeah, so just so, so we will be at, we’re at what number right now, and then we’ll be at what number by, you know, end of October, or I mean, end of September. [Michael Houck]: So we’re at 30 pieces completed right now. I don’t know how many of those you’ve posted. I should have checked and see how many you’ve posted so far. We’re at 30 completed. If we keep writing through September, then we’d add another, what, 15 or 18 by the end of September. If we, if we don’t, then you’d stay at the 30, but you’d be fully sort of paid up for, for everything by then. And then we decided to keep writing for October or, or not. [prestontroutt]: Okay. Okay, cool. [Michael Houck]: Cool. Um, okay. [prestontroutt]: How much, how many months have I paid so far? [Michael Houck]: So you paid two months apart. You paid, we started June 2nd and then you renewed on July 2nd and then we didn’t charge you August 2nd. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Right. [prestontroutt]: Yup. Okay. And so we’d renew it September 2nd. And then from there we would decide, you know, okay. [Michael Houck]: Yeah. Basically how much content are we able to put out in September? Does it make sense for the second to be the bill date for October or do we sort of want to push it a few weeks down the road? So we’re fully caught up that that’s going to be a decision. I think that we just need to make based on how much content you put out in September. [prestontroutt]: Okay. Great. Okay. Awesome. [Michael Houck]: Okay. Let’s check in then in like, I don’t know, about a month, late September, and we can, we can make a call on what to do at that point. [prestontroutt]: Okay, cool. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Awesome. [Michael Houck]: I’ll keep an eye out for the post coming through megaphone and we’ll, we’ll get them blown up for you for sure. Cool. I love it. Yes, sir.
