[jamesy fearsy]: staff. Oh, Max. So sorry about that. How are you? Good. Good. How about you? I’m good. [Max Palmer]: Good. Excited to chat. Hulk isn’t able to join us, but I usually handle most of these calls. [jamesy fearsy]: So yeah, go ahead. [jamesy fearsy]: Sorry about that. No, um, I kind of wanted, cause I, um, what was it? I kind of found you guys a megaphone from a directory called, um, Indie putt. Well, I’ll just give you the link real quick. Well, Indie page, and it’s basically like top ranking, um, softwares and stuff like that. And I’m planning to like create a personal brand overall. And let me do this real quick. [jamesy fearsy]: Let me know if that link works for you. [Max Palmer]: Yeah, no, we’ve seen IndiePage before. Hauk knows the founder. [jamesy fearsy]: Yeah. So basically I was looking at that and I seen that, um, I decided to look through, uh, what Megafon was all about. And basically I’m planning on creating a personal brand and I kind of wanted to go through a LinkedIn strategy of growing it. And I wanted to see if like, if this could help it in a way. So in a way, like, I can’t really phase into words of what I’m planning to do with LinkedIn yet. Cause I kind of just been planning content, throwing stuff at the wall, seeing what sticks and whatnot. And other than that, yeah, basically just kind of just a brief little overview of what I’m doing. [Max Palmer]: Cool. Um, so yeah, this can absolutely be used for that. Um, people are either using it to build their personal brands or to get leads or, or sales for their business, um, and grow the accounts of their, you know, their business account. Um, And we’re on both LinkedIn and Twitter, so it definitely can help you there. Is there a specific niche that you’re talking about on LinkedIn? [jamesy fearsy]: The funniest part is, it’s kind of, I’ll just say this, it’s within SaaS software development in a way, no code kind of, so yeah. [Max Palmer]: Great. Technically that whole niche in a way. Yeah. Yeah. So we have good coverage in that niche. Basically how it works is Megaphone is a creator engagement marketplace. We have users who are people like yourself and then creators who are people that will engage with users content. The creators have anywhere from 20,000 followers to hundreds of thousands of followers. And they’re in a variety of different niches, everything from SAS and entrepreneurship, and startups, and founders, to health and wellness, to crypto, to AI, to real estate, you know, a bunch of different niches. And you’re paired, or not paired, but we get creators that are in your niche to engage with your content, typically by commenting on your posts, and that will boost it in the algorithm. So that’s how it works in a nutshell. So I’m glad you’re creating content in an area that we have creators in because that’s super important. [jamesy fearsy]: I’m guessing this is kind of small within like the type of creators and niches you have in a way. [Max Palmer]: We’ve got almost 200 creators now. So but yeah, we and you know, a few dozen different niches are covered. So we’re growing but but yeah, still somewhat small. [jamesy fearsy]: Gotcha. And then another quick question. So for how it works is, for example, so I pay the subscription, right? And then I deposit money and then I kind of start running it kind of like a instantly in AI in a way, like with like cold emails. It’s like a credit type system in a way. [Max Palmer]: No, it’s not a credit type system. So you’re going to pay the subscription either $49 or $89 a month, depending on the tier you want. And then, yes, you’re going to allocate a budget towards each post. The budget is entirely up to you. On average, people are allocating $30 to $50 per post. But we’ve had plenty of people do over $100 for a particular post if they have a big announcement or a product launch or a piece of content that they spent a ton of time on and think is going to do really well. And that's the money that goes to paying these creators. So it's not based on a credit system. You're going to set a budget. We'll allocate that budget based on three different things. So first, we want to send your post to creators that are in your niche. Second, we want to send it to creators that are online at the time you're posting so that they can engage right away. And then third, we're going to maximize your budget most optimally. Based on a followers to cost ratio. So the creators in our platform, they set their own cost. [Max Palmer]: Typically, creators will raise their price by $10 every 100,000 followers they have. [Max Palmer]: So for example, we have a creator with 370,000 followers and they charge for a post, for an engagement. Whereas we have creators with 50,000 followers and they charge five or $10 for an engagement. [UNKNOWN_SPEAKER]: Gotcha. [jamesy fearsy]: All right. Well, technically that was it kind of, cause I kind of just wanted to see how megaphone was. I mean, I'm not sure if you can share this, but it wouldn't hurt to ask, how did you guys like kind of just grow your marketing in a way? [Max Palmer]: Yeah. So, um, HALC was in creator engagement groups and, um, he thought, you know, why don't I build a product where anybody can have access to this basically. And so he started off with a, um, I mean, he's friends with a lot of these creators. They're in his network. And so we onboarded a ton of creators right away. And then we have a newsletter with 75,000 subscribers. So we started to plug it in the newsletter, got hundreds of users from that. And then it's grown organically as well. It's spread through word of mouth. People have heard about it on sites like IndiePage. So yeah, it's kind of growing organically as well. [jamesy fearsy]: Gotcha. All right. I was curious to that. Well, I'm definitely going to be looking into this because I'm actually thinking about buying the $49 subscription today. But yeah, I was waiting for this call before I did anything else. [Max Palmer]: But are there any other questions you have that could help you make the decision? [jamesy fearsy]: Oh, no. I mean, it already got answered. I plan to buy it like right after like we get off this call. So that’s why. But I kind of just wanted to talk to you, figure out like not only just see Megaphone, talk to the people, because I’ll say this, like as a user currently, this definitely helps validate like a lot more just like purchasing. I mean, I know a lot of businesses, like unless it’s like an agency and you’re paying a giant subscription for like five K for a month or something for a subscription type thing, then you have to like hop on a call. So like validity or sorry for pronouncing that wrong. Validity. There you go. Validity. And like knowing, hey, do I actually want to buy this? Should I make this purchase? Being hesitant are on the edge of buying it versus like just instantly buying it. Like, Oh yeah, this commits. Let me just buy it and test it. Cause like for me in a way, like if you don’t offer a free trial, the first thing I do is like, if the options there is booking a call, because I would like to see, all right, what is this product about? What are the founders saying about it? Um, let me look at other users reviews before I make a purchase. Because I mean, don’t get me wrong. I got to have a lot of subscriptions stacking up, but it’s like, it’s adding up towards my business. And then that kind of it kind of just evens out at the end of the day. So it’s like, I want to see like, will this help or not? And so that’s why, but after this call, I just definitely got my little yes. So cool. Um, yeah. [Max Palmer]: And there’s no long-term commitment either. You know, you, you could try this out for two or three months, put a few hundred bucks into it and, and, and give it a go and try to grow your audience. I mean, we we’ve had people grow very fast on LinkedIn. We had one person go from like zero to, 8,000 followers in a week or something like that and I person go from basically zero to 2,500 in 24 hours Because he got a huge boost from a few megaphone creators. So and the algorithm picked it up and boom he’s off, you know So yeah, it’s definitely worked and and you do have to put out good content. I will say that You know, it’s do you not video content? [jamesy fearsy]: I’m sorry for coming. Oh, yeah. I Do you think video content will perform better than written posts or articles on LinkedIn? [Max Palmer]: So video content is doing really well right now, I will say. I can’t tell you if it’s going to perform better because it just entirely depends on the quality of that content. But I will tell you video content is picking up both on LinkedIn and Twitter. So if you make good videos on LinkedIn, it can absolutely do well. Yeah, don’t underestimate that. [jamesy fearsy]: All right, because I remember for technically the only reason I’m looking into this now is because of this day of last month. Well, technically, yeah, we’re August 16th. So yeah, July 16th of last month. Basically, I started LinkedIn because I wanted to start growing my personal brand. And I was like, I didn’t really have any social presence at all. And I started on LinkedIn, just posting articles, posting case studies, posting stories and whatnot. And I noticed that just from Normal because I’m thinking I’m now not thinking I’m getting ready to pivot into video content And that’s why I wanted to look into this before I started doing that. Um, I Was doing those post type of posts just making normal essay or not essays on normal text post and whatnot word-based post of course and I noticed that like comparing to the impressions of those because I never tested video content I got I think of at least maybe 20 followers. And that’s just like within that one month of just starting LinkedIn. So it’s like, that’s why I was curious to it. So, but yeah. [Max Palmer]: Yeah, absolutely. There’s different types of content that could do well and videos definitely picking up. [jamesy fearsy]: All right. Well, yeah. Well, that’s it. Other than that, Max, I’m just going to get ready to buy this now. So yeah, great. [Max Palmer]: Yeah. And if you have any other questions after you purchase or before then, just shoot us an email and we’ll be happy to respond. [jamesy fearsy]: All right. Thank you so much again, Max. Have a good one. All right. [Max Palmer]: You too. Bye bye. Bye.
