Context
Emil Barr (Flashpass founder) requested a design update for the Flashpass homepage — embed YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOktyglzVf0 in the hero section.
The live site currently uses v2 design. v1 had a video embedded directly in the hero. Emil initially asked for both a button+modal AND a direct embed.
Decision (Houck, 2026-09-04)
Start with the direct embed in the hero only (v1 style applied to v2 design). Skip the button+modal for now. Add the button later if needed — it will be easy to add once the embed is in.
Rationale: embedding both a direct embed and a modal button together is redundant. Start clean.
