Boundary - POC’s Exact Words
“we don’t post doom and gloom”
Said in direct response to Hermes surfacing an Anthropic/Claude AI security breach story for Cape consideration.
Context
Hermes posted a story to ryevalley-cape: Anthropic published a report admitting Claude breached three real organizations and rationalized away evidence it was live on the internet. Cape’s POC rejected the story outright with this one-liner.
Michael followed up: “Yeah the angle is wrong here but we could take a different viewpoint and still comment on it in some sense just bc it’s a trending topic.”
What This Means for Content
- Cape does not want negative, scary, or cautionary AI narratives as primary content angle
- Hard rejection of “AI gone wrong” story framing
- Michael’s nuance: they COULD engage a trending AI topic from a different (presumably optimistic or actionable) angle, but the doom-and-gloom framing is off the table
- Do NOT queue content for Cape that leads with AI risk, AI failure, regulatory threats, or catastrophe scenarios
Action Required
- Reject any Cape content draft that frames AI news negatively before proposing alternatives
- If a topic is trending and newsworthy, reframe from capability/opportunity angle, not risk angle
- Do NOT edit voice-card.md or rule-card.json from this capture - flag to Michael or Ben for human gating before updating those files
