What happened
Tatem attempted to amplify a post for Emil Barr’s LinkedIn account in the Megaphone system and received an error. Emil’s Megaphone account is configured as a CASTER, not an AMPLIFIER.
Michael confirmed: “Emil’s account is a caster, not an amplifier” and followed with “Fix it now.”
Status
HOT - Michael gave a direct “Fix it now” directive on 2026-08-28. Rafael was offline when it was raised; Houck also tagged another team member to look into it. Unclear if fix was completed before EOD. Verify with Rafael or the account lead.
What to check
- Whether Emil’s account type was corrected in the Megaphone system.
- Whether Tatem was able to successfully amplify after any fix.
- Emil Barr is the Flashpass/Lore client (not active Megaphone); double-check whether amplification is actually appropriate for his account or if the workflow assumption was wrong.
