Signal
A prospect (unknown name - discussed in ops in context of shared Granola notes) proactively offered to give Rye Valley access to their Granola account so we can create social posts from their meeting recordings.
Michael’s reaction: “this guy wants to just give us access to his Granola to create posts. He brought it up. Very interesting.”
Blake’s reaction: “Woah that’s cool. Love that idea.”
Context
Blake reviewed the Granola notes and found the prospect looks like a good fit. He noted a budget constraint - the prospect wants to use management fees for portco support. Blake suggested framing: “a lot of our posts for our other VCs are around portco announcements and amplifying their news.” Michael agreed and said he’ll include that angle in the follow-up.
Why It Matters
- Granola-as-content-intake is a new intake model we haven’t formalized. If this client converts, it could become a repeatable pattern (especially for VC/investor clients who have meeting-heavy schedules)
- Rye Valley has Granola MCP connected; this prospect’s use case would lean into that infrastructure
- Budget constraint: prospect wants management fees to be the billing vehicle, not standard retainer. Worth flagging for Michael’s follow-up framing.
Status
Michael is writing a follow-up that includes the portco announcement angle. No client name surfaced in the Slack thread.
