Decision
Following Blake Emal’s concern that Hermes is posting too much noise into client channels (see Blake Flagged Hermes Posting Too Much Noise in Client Channels), Michael and Blake iterated on a per-client scoping decision:
Auto-send without human review:
- Draper (Tim, Michelle, Maxime, James)
- Nuon
- Cape
Human-gated before sending (Blake handles):
- Keycard (Ian seems to like them but Blake wants to handle)
- Roebling (flagged as needing care)
- Pierce
- Will
Not applicable / different service:
- Mantis (Jeffrey Evans) - different ops model
- WWR - different ops model
Context
This came out of Blake Emal pushing back on automation volume. Michael agreed Hermes should be more selective per-client. The “published alert” feature from Hermes was noted as a good addition.
The underlying principle: automate for clients who have shown they prefer direct updates; route through Blake for clients where relationship is more delicate or client has shown less engagement with automated messages.
This is an operational protocol decision. Hermes should check this list before auto-posting into any client channel.
